Along with the 1964 Washington performance, the 1965 Paris performance is another Beatles live video that stands out for its rich performance. Coincidentally, like Washington, they were filmed with a black and white video camera, and had an image quality that was easy to view at the time. However, while Washington has been blessed with dramatic improvements in image quality and items over the past decade, Paris seems to have been at a standstill in recent years. The broadcast version, in which the song order was messed up and "I Feel Fine" was cut, was a standard video that was available in shops since the VHS boot era, but it was originally broadcast on French TV. Therefore, the image quality was often poor due to the barrier of PAL and NTSC, which are unique to Europe. However, in the 1990s, VHS dubbing technology improved, and the image quality improved dramatically compared to before. Furthermore, this video has branched out, and not only the broadcast version, but also a version in which "I Feel Fine" is recorded at the end without editing the song order has also spread. There are probably many enthusiasts who have acquired the latter version. However, with the advent of the DVD era, the image quality of the Paris performance has reached a stalemate, and in fact, the performance scenes of "I'm A Loser" and "Everybody's Trying To Be My Baby" used in the official "ANTHOLOGY" are the best. A high quality version will be available. However, it is a black-and-white video footage from Europe in the early 60's.The scene of "A Hard Day's Night" that was included in "1+" released in the era of Blu-ray was also recorded in a studio to set the tempo and add interludes. While he had to do a lot of work, including multiple takes, the video was barely touched at all. Therefore, even if you are not a fanatic, you would like to see the entire Paris performance in "ANTHOLOGY" level image quality... It has been a wish of fans all over the world, and in 2020, the time has finally come to make that wish come true. Lord Reith, a maniac among maniacs, made mania's dreams come true. What he has released this time is a better copy that he obtained from Core Trader. It was said that it was delivered in MPEG-1 format, and the quality is certainly much better than previous versions that went through the analog generation of VHS. Lord Reith didn't just publish it, he also adjusted the noise areas as much as possible, and the low frame rate, which is a drawback of MPEG-1, was restored to a smooth 60fps using frame interpolation processing. . Furthermore, the image quality and position of "I Feel Fine" have been thoroughly restored. It's a shame that there are still some parts of the same song where noise comes in, but the overall image quality has improved dramatically. This is a level worthy of being called an upper version. The audio has also been remastered and replaced with the Pyramid album “Live In Melbourne And Paris” as the best source by going back to the old previously released source. The restored audio is also amazing! This time, I was finally able to see the Paris performance with “ANTHOLOGY” level image quality, but the Beatles on this day were really wonderful. The video footage, which is excellent at clarity, captures all the members giving a relaxed performance. Two months later, in the United States, he rose to superstardom at a stadium, but the fact that he was able to hold a concert in Paris at a venue that still attracted less than 5,000 people was a big factor. You can see from every corner of the video that the members are performing on stage in a situation where they can clearly hear their own performance, and that's why John makes a momentary playful gesture while singing "I'm A Loser." I guess it was done. On the other hand, Paul ignores the development of the song in "Can't Buy Me Love" and sings with a wry smile in front of the audience's excitement, which is very funny. “Baby’s In Black” is the best scene where the audience is excited, but it is not just screaming but enjoying the performance. The sense of unity of the audience as they swayed from side to side in time with the waltz-like performance was a moving sight unlike any other Beatles live footage. And for this release, the bonus includes the best version of "BIG NIGHT OUT", the Beatles' live TV footage left after the Paris performance. This is also a TV appearance that suddenly became major with "ANTHOLOGY", and at the same time, the full-length version with good image quality has become familiar in recent years. As before, this time it is a version with time code, but by obtaining a copy with the best image quality originally and remastering it, we achieved the highest level ever. In the previously released version, the video was stretched vertically, but in this title, it is recorded at the normal screen ratio. Furthermore, by replacing the audio with the MasterJedi remaster that was also included in "LIVE UPGRADES", this is also the best source ever. This was a valuable appearance where he performed his new songs live for the first time just before he left for the United States, and for "I'm Down," John's VOX organ elbow playing style was smoother than what he would later do in the United States. It's funny not to go. What's more, at the end of the program, the Beatles accompany the performers as they dance, which is valuable. With this bonus recording, the strongest coupling in the Beatles 65 year live video before going to the United States was realized. In any case, the improvement in the image quality of the main scene in Paris is astounding. Please enjoy to your heart's content the best pure live live video of 1965 in the highest image quality, which is different from Shea Stadium, which was modified in various ways at the time of release.
