The Hollywood Bowl performance has already been released as a set of audio and video. However, enthusiasts will know that a considerable amount of first appearance footage has been unearthed since then. The Hollywood Bowl live album produced by Giles triggered the discovery of previously unreleased footage, both officially and unofficially. However, officially only the live sound source was released, and no video work was released at all. This work is a title that includes the first appearance footage discovered after the CD and DVD set was released. [August 23, 1964] Although no video productions have been officially announced at the Hollywood Bowl, it has been revealed that there were many cameras set up that day. For convenience, four types of cameras have been confirmed so far: Cameras A, B, C, and D, which were included in M Claudel's previous set. However, this time, footage from cameras E, F, G, and H, and a new 3+1 camera, was discovered. Speaking of 1964, it was Showa 44. It is surprising to learn that concerts from this era were filmed using as many as seven different cameras. In this work, we first record Camera A, which has already been released. This is the camera that records the stage for the longest time, and is the most popular as it records almost the entire concert. This is not a re-recording of a previously released video, but a new digital transfer for this time. For the first time, this camera A video, which has been available only in sources that are about two ranks lower, is recorded in master quality for the first time. In addition, the sound quality of the audio recorded by the camera has also been improved. A color version of this Camera A footage is also included. This is a moving color video of the Hollywood Bowl that could only be seen in photos. Similarly, images from cameras B and C are also recorded using new digital transfers. Although it is not as long as Camera A, in addition to the scene where the Beatles appear on stage, the scenes of "Twist And Shout" and "She Loves You" can be seen in much improved image quality than the previous version. What will appear for the first time is footage from cameras E, F, G, and H, which are 3 + 1 cameras. Camera E is filming the area around the Hollywood Bowl in a documentary style before the performance begins. You can see that the situation remains the same as it is now, with a person who appears to be a scalper and people selling concert goods. And since the main footage is of the enthusiastic audience during the concert, it is assumed that this is some kind of news camera. The great thing about this camera is that it captures the Beatles dynamically on stage in a stable shot during the performance scene of “Can’t Buy Me Love” for the first time, even from a distance. This camera E footage was partially used in ``EIGHT DAYS A WEEK'' and is a full-length version of it. Camera F was probably also used for news reporting. A flash was lit in the darkened venue, and the audience's voltage suddenly rose. The undercard stage video is also rare, but the video that captures "All My Loving" from the front is wonderful. Although short, "Boys" also captures Ringo from the front as he sings while playing the drums. Camera G is a shot of the stage from the rear of the venue. After all, the main thing is to convey the state of the enthusiastic audience, but “Can’t Buy Me Love” with the same recorded voice is included. For convenience, what is referred to as Camera H is a short but high-quality version of Camera G taken through a different route. [August 30, 1965] The previous set included color footage from August 29, 1965. This work includes two types of newly discovered color footage from the following August 30th. The one credited as #2 for convenience is a video from the right rear of the stage, and in addition to the opening act, the Beatles' performance scene wearing the same military jackets as at Shea Stadium is captured in color. #3, on the other hand, shows the performance of the undercard, which is a video from the rear left of the arena, and the appearance of the Beatles appearing and tuning, etc., captured in color. Although the song performed is unknown, it includes footage of Paul and George singing the chorus with one microphone, Paul moving his body up and down as he sings, and bowing after the performance. All of these are valuable color images that are appearing for the first time. The last KABC FILM ARCHIVE contains documentary footage of the Beatles off stage. As soon as we arrived at Los Angeles airport, we could see that there was a hectic atmosphere, with a press conference being held. It also includes footage from when many of the beautiful color photographs of Ross's gardens were taken. [PRESS CONFERENCE etc] Contains various documentary footage and press conference footage that will be appearing for the first time. It can be seen that the fans waiting for the Beatles at Los Angeles Airport on August 18, 1964 are the same as the fans waiting at Narita when Paul visits Japan today, even though times have changed. The press conference was held in a simple space hastily set up inside the airport with only an office desk and pipe chairs. I can't imagine now that the four of us were smoking cigarettes the whole time. After the press conference, it was interesting to see the reporters asking for autographs among the crowd. Anyway, the excitement started when the plane carrying the Beatles arrived and came off the ramp, and a reporter asked the pretty girls who were Beatles fans at the time, ``Aren't your boyfriends jealous that you were so crazy about it? ” and other questions. August 23, 1964 was a press conference on the day of the concert. The Beatles entered the press conference hall with Paul in the lead and immediately lit a cigarette. The scene where George lights Paul's cigarette with a lighter is like a senior-junior athlete. This day's press conference was recorded in color by a separate camera. Although there is no audio, it is a color video, which was rare in 1964. Then, on August 25, 1965, two days after the Hollywood Bowl, the Beatles appeared at the premiere screening of the movie ``HELP!''. Of course, Beatles fan girls surrounded the venue here as well. The press conference is being held with a curtain with the movie title written in large letters saying ``HELP'' in the background. The person who asked the main question, ``I would like to ask Mr. Star, the most handsome member,'' must have been rude. Paul and John are smoking cigarettes here too. And the private 8mm from August 26, 1964 is recorded with members and staff playing in a hotel pool somewhere. [RELEASE Ads stc] The last part of this work includes various commercials for "LIVE AT THE HOLLYWOOD BOWL" produced by Giles Martin released in 2016. In addition to recording "Boys" in color footage that was probably added later, the film is a collage of footage from various parts of the 1964 U.S. tour that conveys the enthusiasm of the time. In particular, it includes a lot of previously unreleased color performance scenes, and although it is a digest due to the nature of a commercial, it is a very fulfilling video work. [THE LOST HOLLYWOOD BOWL FILMS] As mentioned above, this work is a collection of two DVDs containing a number of subsequently unearthed videos that complement the previously released Hollywood Bowl set. In addition to the main camera A, the 1964 video has been newly digitally transferred to B and C to improve the image and sound quality, as well as footage from another camera that will appear for the first time, especially those that have not been recorded until now. It would be no exaggeration to say that the video for "Can't Buy Me Love" was a great discovery. The 1965 video is also a valuable one that captures the stage in color video for the first time. In addition, it includes plenty of footage related to the Hollywood Bowl, which appears for the first time in this work, including press conferences and private footage. ■First appearance video collection related to the Hollywood Bowl■Image quality improved by new digital transfer ■Main camera A is now in color■First appearance of another camera video ■First appearance of "Can't Buy Me Love" Performance scene ■ Color footage of first appearance on August 30, 1965 ■ Documentary footage including press conference of first appearance DVD DISC ONE HOLLYWOOD BOWL LOS ANGELES CA U.S.A.
