From the must-have label for Beatles fans, the Alternate Series is releasing a new, revised version of the 2026 Anthology. This fourth installment, Anthology 4: Alternates, differs significantly from the original. It features mixes first seen in the 2025 Anthology video release, newly edited outtakes, and even a documentary of the Anthology project's new songs, "Free as a Bird," "Real Love," and "Now and Then." The live audio from the video version has been remixed, and outtakes have been replaced, with incomplete recordings added through original editing. Many of the outtakes previously unreleased in the series have been selected from newly edited versions, with a focus on never-before-seen material. The album concludes with a rare documentary of the creation of new songs by Paul, George, and Ringo, as well as naked versions of "Free as a Bird," "Real Love," and "Now and Then" that are close to the originals, without any overdubs. This latest 2026 edit features all new masters, including the originals. It also includes a selection of rare, previously unreleased audio, including unedited audio with different sound sources from the originals, alternative mixes, and even a realistic stereo sound source created using the latest AI demixing technology.
