Nine months after their first visit, they returned to Japan in 1977 in response to their growing popularity. An out-of-print live album that conveys the scene has been decided to be released. The true identity of this work is "ROLLERWORLD" released in 2001. It is an official live album themed on the 1977 Nippon Budokan performance. There are no specific credits, so the date is unknown, but the scale of the 1977 Japan tour itself is interesting. This is a good opportunity to take a moment to get a sense of the scale. ・September 17th + 18th: Osaka Rasa International Skating Rink (2 performances) ・September 19th: Hiroshima Prefectural General Gymnasium ・September 20th + 21st: Nippon Budokan (2 performances) ←★Here? ★・September 22nd: Mito City Gymnasium・September 23rd: Makomanai Indoor Stadium・September 25th: Kanazawa Practical Ethics Memorial Hall・September 26th: Aichi Prefectural Gymnasium・September 27th: Kochi Prefectural Gymnasium・September 29th: Fukuoka City Kyuden Memorial Gymnasium・September 30th: Okinawa Municipal Gymnasium・October 2nd: Okayama Prefectural Gymnasium・October 3rd: Niigata City Gymnasium・October 4th + 5th: Nippon Budokan (2 performances) ←★Here? ★・October 6th: Fukushima Tanagura Town General Gymnasium・October 7th: Yonezawa City Gymnasium A total of 18 performances. The 8 performances on their first visit to Japan were also exceptional, but in less than a year, the number has more than doubled. Moreover, they cover the entire country, from Hokkaido in the north to Okinawa in the south, and even Shikoku, where there are few foreign artists and concerts. This schedule truly conveys the tremendous popularity that has enveloped the entire archipelago in a tartan hurricane. Among them, there were four performances at the Nippon Budokan. As mentioned above, there are no specific credits in this work, so it is unclear whether it is one of those performances or an edit from multiple performances. The quality of this work is, of course, a completely official sound board. There is no room for doubt in itself, but what is surprising is the reality of the cheers. The yellow cheers are swirling in a tremendous vortex and blowing through the venue. Usually, official live albums are mixed so that the cheers fade out when the performance begins, but this work does not disappear. Of course, the volume goes down and does not interfere with the performance, but the cheers can be heard throughout the performance, whether they wanted to keep their popularity or were too loud to be erased. Even if the above dates did not exist, the overwhelming popularity is transmitted to the skin. Moreover, it seems that it is not a repeat of the cheer tape. The waves of the cheers change in response to the performance and MC, and it is so real that the members' every move comes out from the movement of the cheers. Not only the singles, but also the chorus that explodes at the chorus is a tremendous pressure, almost screaming endlessly, singing the masterpieces, and the voltage rises as the show progresses. It is also a live album that overwhelms you with the power of Western music women with monstrous stamina. Of course, the main role is BAY CITY ROLLERS and their many masterpieces. Speaking of their official live album, there is the traditional "BAY CITY ROLLERS LIVE IN JAPAN", but that is quite different from this work, as it was recorded in Japan in 1983. Let's compare the contents and organize them here. Love Game (6 songs)・It's A Game/Love Fever(★)/Rebel Rebel(★)/Dance, Dance, Dance(★)/Don't Let The Music Die/You Made Me Believe In MagicOthers (9 songs)・Youth Idol: Don't Stop The Music(★)/Eagles Fly(★)/Wouldn't You Like It?・Melody Dedicated to Youth: Yesterday's Hero(★)/I Only Want to Be with You/You're A Woman・Others: Rock N Roll Love Letter/Money Honey(★)/Saturday Night *Note: Songs marked with "★" cannot be heard at the official "BAY CITY ROLLERS LIVE IN JAPAN". ...And so on. What's even more interesting is that before the show starts, a staff member (?) appears in the venue and makes a warning announcement, which is full of the feeling of the times. Let's write it down for a moment. "Well, then, I'll say it again. Please absolutely stop playing the drums and tambourines, and stop playing the tambourines and whistles. Okay? Please promise me. This is a request from the members of the Rollers to everyone. And let's have a better live show with better applause and cheers. Okay? Well, sorry to keep you waiting, here comes the Bay City Rollers!" Anyway, they're incredibly popular. They have incredible reality. It's a live album with incredible pressure. It's a rare album that gives you a sense of overwhelming heat that you can't get from a normal official live album...or even an audience recording. A live album that vacuum-packs a popular Japanese performance has been released. It's a reprint of a discontinued live album, and while it's completely official quality, you can also enjoy the spectacle of tremendous cheers and a chorus.
