A soundboard recording of the New York funk-soul-disco band B.T. Express' live performance in 1976 at its peak. Their name became widely known in 1974 with their blockbuster hit Do It, which reached number 5 on the pop charts, but they are not just a disco band, but a very professional group with a sophisticated funk groove. This is evident in This House Is Smokin', a song that will make you swoon with Prince's Horny Pony-esque funk. Although I admire the cover of the Carpenters' Close To You, the 11-minute version of Do It is so cool that it makes me cringe. Enjoy approximately 50 minutes of menacing funk.
