A soundboard recording of the New York funk-soul-disco band B.T. Express' live performance in 1976 at its peak. Their name became widely known in 1974 with their blockbuster hit Do It, which reached number 5 on the pop charts, but they are not just a disco band, but a very professional group with a sophisticated funk groove. This is evident in This House Is Smokin', a song that will make you swoon with Prince's Horny Pony-esque funk. Although I admire the cover of the Carpenters' Close To You, the 11-minute version of Do It is so cool that it makes me cringe. Enjoy approximately 50 minutes of menacing funk. (Please note that there is some noise caused by the analog master.)
