The release of the "Original ASIA" Japan concert will feature the "May 14, 2010: Shibuya C.C.Lemon Hall" performance. This is the best footage taken by the people involved from the PA position where the sound engineer is located. First, let's start with the show position. Since the original members first came to Japan in 2007, they have visited Japan on many occasions. This is a good opportunity, so let's start by looking at the history of their visit to Japan after the reunion.・March 2007: 7 performances・May 2008: 5 performances "PHOENIX TOUR"・May 2010: 5 performances "OMEGA TOUR"←★Here★・September 2012: 4 performances "xxx TOUR"《2013: Steve Howe leaves》・June 2014: 4 performances "GRAVITAS TOUR"《2017: John Wetton dies》In this way, from the reunion to the present, there have been four Japan tours with the original members and one with Sam Coulson replacing the guitar. This work is the third act of the "OMEGA TOUR". At this time, there were a total of five performances, two in Tokyo, one each in Yokohama, Osaka, and Nagoya. Shibuya in this work is the second performance. This work is not an ordinary video. It is a shot of the people involved captured with a distant one-camera shot from the PA area behind the venue. Only in the PA area, which is one step higher, can you see the stage directly above the heads of the first floor customers, and the entire screen is occupied by ASIA, which is a superb viewpoint. Furthermore, the stability using the tripod is obviously incredible. As a result, if you shake it left and right, it will scroll jerkily, but even with a fierce bust-up zoom, you can fully enjoy the full show with a screen that does not shake at all. Suitable for such a scene... no, it far surpasses the sound. Although I can't say for sure because there is no data from the photographer, no matter how you listen to it, it only sounds like a sound board. It is also of the highest quality and official class. There are countless audience recordings that make you want to say "it's like a sound board," but even so, the bass drum and the like have a sense of distance. However, in this work, all the notes of all the instruments are straight balls with zero sense of distance. Especially when it comes to Wetton's bass, even the waveform of the heavy bass vibe is screwed into the brain... I think it was directly connected to the sound board desk only in the PA area. Anyway, coupled with that super stable angle, it is an exquisite piece that can only be described as a "one-camera professional shot". The show drawn with that quality is a huge explosion of the "original ASIA" that has regained its active feeling. In fact, the day before, which was the first day of the Japan tour, it was in a tattered state full of mistakes, but the next day (this work) it was a perfect show that was completely different. Carl Palmer, who stopped the song halfway the day before, also tightened up, and Howe, inspired by that, also performed a series of smooth and speedy tasteful solos. Wetton's vocals are also in great shape, and the wonderful "1990 visit to Japan" is revived with tension and stretch, and you can listen to "Kimi Tachi Saiko Dayo". And a number of super masterpieces drawn with that potential. Not only the great representative songs of the 80s, but also the new masterpieces of "PHOENIX" and "OMEGA", which even surpassed the expectations of fans, are played in abundance. John Wetton had a frustrating career for a long time. But now he has returned to the 21st century with a work and live performance that is just like his heyday. This is a masterpiece that depicts the reorganized ASIA live in Japan with the best shots of the people involved. The one-camera scene may not be as good as "FANTASIA LIVE IN TOKYO", but it surpasses the overflowing feeling of being active and in top form. Please enjoy the heroic figure of ASIA, the last band that Wetton loved, to your heart's content. Live at C.C. Lemon Hall, Tokyo, Japan 14th May 2010 AMAZING SHOT!!!(with SBD?) 1. Intro 2.
