ANGRA returned to Japan in 2005 with their conceptual masterpiece "TEMPLE OF SHADOWS." This superb original recording, conveying the scene, is a new discovery! This work features the performance at Hiroshima Club Quattro on March 14, 2005. This is the ultimate audience recording. Speaking of ANGRA, their 20th anniversary tour of "TEMPLE OF SHADOWS" is fast approaching, but this work is a real-time visit to Japan at the time of the album's release. This is a good opportunity to take a bird's-eye view of their entire history of visits to Japan to date. André Matos era: January 1997 (4 shows), November 1998 (4 shows) ←※NAGOYA 1998 Edu Falaschi era: June 2002 (5 shows) ←※NAGOYA 2002, March 2005 (6 shows) ←★COCO★, October 2006 (2 shows), February 2007 (8 shows), October 2010 (2 shows) Fabio Lione era: October 2013 (1 show), May 2015 (4 shows), November 2018 (4 shows) ←※OSAKA 2018, June 2025 (3 shows) This is ANGRA's live in Japan. The "TEMPLE OF SHADOWS World Tour" was one of the largest tours of their career, and they also held six shows in Japan. The tour was the second largest in Japan after 2007. This Hiroshima concert was the third concert of the tour, and this vacuum-packed recording of the show is truly a superb masterpiece. While this work was set in Hiroshima, it's actually a sister collection by the same recording artist as the aforementioned "NAGOYA 1998: DAT MASTER" and "NAGOYA 2002: DAT MASTER." Anyone who's experienced the previous two albums will understand: the sound is incredibly direct and tight. While the realistic tone and audience feel are embodied, the close contact with zero sense of distance, the vivid details down to the finest details, and the vivid separation are beyond the realm of audience recording. Although recorded over 20 years ago, this is an "official substitute" live album that's rarely found even in modern digital recordings (though it's by a different artist, the sound is like the "strongest taper in Western Japan"). The bold and meaty sound is a full show that explodes with the band's potential, which made the masterpiece "TEMPLE OF SHADOWS" a masterpiece. Let's check out the set here. Temple of Shadows (7 songs) Spread Your Fire / Waiting Silence / No Pain for the Dead / Angels and Demons / Wishing Well / The Temple of Hate / The Shadow Hunter Others (10 songs + α) Reverse: Acid Rain / Heroes of Sand (★) / Rebirth / Nova Era Andre era: Nothing to Say (★) / Carolina IV (★) / Never Understand (★) / Angels Cry (★) / Carry On Covers: PANTERA medley [★: Cowboys From Hell / I'm Broken / 5 Minutes Alone / Mouth for War] / SLAYER (★: Raining Blood) *Note: Songs marked with a "★" are not being performed on the current "TEMPLE OF SHADOWS 20th Anniversary Tour". ...And so it goes. Unlike the ongoing "TEMPLE OF SHADOWS 20th Anniversary Tour," this isn't a re-release of the album, but the acclaimed masterpiece remains the centerpiece. Moreover, the performance was so intense it almost seemed to elevate the album with stage tension. Kiko Loureiro's virtuosity was in full swing throughout, and Edu Falaschi was also in top form. The finale also featured a treat unique to the time: PANTERA and SLAYER covers. The PANTERA cover, in particular, was a super-rich medley, packing four tracks' worth of delicious riffs into roughly three minutes. While it may not seem like the dramatic, progressive ANGRA sound, it's a convincing steel festival. Not only did they include their signature hits, but they also included "I'm Broken," a track that even the original band hadn't performed before, and it was a truly memorable experience. This newly discovered original master release was released as if celebrating the 20th anniversary of "TEMPLE OF SHADOWS." This treasure, hidden until now, allows you to fully experience the "TEMPLE OF SHADOWS Tour" with an unbelievable, shocking sound. A new, world-class masterpiece from Japan is here! This is a superb audience recording of the "March 14, 2005: Hiroshima Club Quattro" performance. A sister collection by the same recordist as "NAGOYA 1998" and "NAGOYA 2002," this incredibly direct and tight, superb album is exceptional. Though recorded over 20 years ago, this "official-grade" live album is rarely found even in modern digital recordings. This world-class, new, world-class masterpiece from Japan unleashes the band's potential, unleashed on their masterpiece, "TEMPLE OF SHADOWS."
