ANGEL's return to Japan has finally come true! We have prepared a vintage video that brings back the scent of their first visit to Japan after 47 years of miracles. This work was filmed at the Fresno performance on May 10, 1978. This is a shocking audience shot. Their first visit to Japan was an unprecedented legend in which the promoter ran away at night and two of the eight performances were canceled, but this work was released about one year and three months later. It was a scene from the "WHITEHOT Tour". First of all, let's look at the position of the show from the schedule at that time. {January 3rd release of "WHITE HOT"} ・February 22nd-May 14th: North America #1 (30 performances) ←★Here★ ・June 27th: Santa Monica performance ・August 26th: SPUERJAM '78 performance ・October 19th: Oakland performance ・November 24th-December 18th: North America #2 (8 performances) Shock quality that looks like a professional shot This is ANGEL in 1978. Since it is a band with little detailed information, please do not believe the exact number of performances, but I think you can understand the general flow. They released "WHITE HOT" at the beginning of the year and started a tour, but it ended in about three months. Although they did a mini tour at the end of the year, their full-scale activities were not until early spring. The Fresno performance in this work was the concert at the end of such a tour "North America #1". This work, which recorded such a show, is one of the Fresno video series that was a series of shocking works. If you are an avid collector, you may remember that Fresno footage of various bands erupted in 2020, and this work is a masterpiece that was called special grade even in that series. Unlike video, 8mm film can only shoot a maximum of a few minutes, so it is a digest of each song, but this Fresno series makes heavy use of 5-minute cuts, and the missing parts are supplemented with still images. (Although it is not a complete form) You can enjoy each song as "music". Moreover, this work is particularly amazing in terms of zoom. From the angle, you can see that it was shot from the front of the stage, but there are too many zooms and you can't see any more detailed positions. Moreover, strangely enough, the viewpoint is high, almost the same as the members on stage. Although I wrote "Audience Shot" as a convention of the series, the scene seems to be only one angle of a professional shot. There is widespread speculation that this Fresno video series is "a shot of someone involved," but among them, this work is by far the most "professional shot-like" work. The real shock is the show itself, which is full of production. The quality alone is shocking, but what's even more impressive is the content. The "moving ANGEL" is amazing, but you can experience the legendary stage production on site. There is a series of highlights from the opening scene. After the majestic SE, a solemn baritone voice (Archangel Gabriel?) introduces the members, and each one appears from an empty magic box. It was the same production when they first came to Japan, but you can witness the legendary scene that has been passed down by word of mouth. After that, you can enjoy their original pop and light rock with "Tower", "On the Rocks", and "Don't Leave Me Lonely", but then another surprising production appears. As the fanfare rings out, the object that rises up is the familiar one from the jacket of their debut work and "HELLUVA BAND". However, the face in the center is not a person but a human. In another solemn voice, he asks the audience, "Do you feel the music?" The mechanism itself seems to be the ancestor of IRON MAIDEN, but the mood is "Flash Gordon" or "Star Trek"... A retro-future sci-fi world suddenly appears. The video also depicts delicious numbers such as "Over And Over" and "Got Love If You Want It", but what's even better is Greg Jeffrea's keyboard solo. In a white robe with a large chest, he struggles with a wall of synthesizers like Keith Emerson, and then he brings out a shoulder keyboard halfway through. Unfortunately, we can't witness the solo time in full, but we can enjoy the scene of the flashy solo. It's just amazing. The Fresno video series has been shocking one by one so far, but this work is amazing in both quality and the contents of the show. Now that the miracle of revisiting Japan has been realized, it is a shocking video that we would like as many people as possible to touch. A shocking video from the 70's has been released. This is one of the Fresno 8mm series that shocked audiences with its super high quality, and you can witness ANGEL's stage performance in the 70s, which embodied a retro-future sci-fi world. This is a masterpiece video that will become a cultural heritage. Live at Warnors Theatre, Fresno, CA, USA 10th May 1978 AMAZING SHOT!!!! 1. Introduction 2. Tower 3. On the Rocks 4.
