ABWH was a group of four members from the golden age who came together at the end of the 80's and revived the ideals of good old YES music. The symbolic video of the project, which was truly the fruit of a progressive rocker's dream, has been decided to be released. What is featured in this work is “September 9, 1989 Mountain View Performance”. Yes, it is a multi-camera professional shot familiar from the Japanese title ``Jesus Music Night''. Although the official DVD is also out of print, this is a standard video, but this work is not a copy of the official product. This is the Japan Broadcasting version that was aired on a certain satellite broadcasting station's famous program "Western Music Live Densetsu" in 2010. The biggest point of this work is the program's unique production and highest quality, but first of all is the show's position. Let's take a look back at Dream Team's activity schedule 1989《Senkou'' released on June 20th》・July 29th - September 10th: North America #1 (32 performances)←★Here★・October 20th -November 23: Europe (24 performances) 1990, February 21-23: Spain (3 performances), March 1-8; Japan (6 performances), March 12-23: North America #2 (10 performances) This is the history of ABWH. We conducted a world tour including performances in Japan, but the main one was the "North America #1" leg immediately after the album was released. The Mountain View performance of this work was the 31st and final concert. The professional shots taken at such shows are truly a classic among classics. At our store, we have archived many Japanese programs by core record enthusiasts in Japan, and this work is one of them. The master of this mania is always the best, but this work is by far the best. After all, it was broadcast in 2010, when even terrestrial broadcasting was on the verge of becoming digital. Satellite broadcasting reached its digital heyday long ago, and it has been recorded and converted to DVD without deterioration. The taste of the broadcast year is not just the image quality. In fact, this video has been broadcast/softened several times since 1989, and each time it was a 60-minute excerpt or the quality of the image varied. The highest version, the official DVD version, was realized in 2007, and this work was released three years later. You can enjoy the long version of over 140 minutes in super high quality. Another highlight is the program's unique commentary corner and subtitles. Due to the editing that omits the gaps between songs, the MC only appears before "Roundabout," but the program's own subtitles are added there. Since there were no subtitles on the official DVD, this work can be called a "true Japanese version". What is depicted with such quality is the paradise of YES Music, which was revived just before the 90s. It's a bit late since it's such a famous video, but it's also a good opportunity, so let's take a look. Solo Section Anderson: Time and a Word/Owner of a Lonely Heart/Teakbois Howe: Clap/Mood for a Day Wakeman: Madrigal/Catherine Parr/Merlin the Magician Bruford: Electric Drum Solo Band Section Third Album: I've Seen All Good People/Starship Trooper - Fragile: Long Distance Runaround/Heart of the Sunrise/Roundabout - Crisis: And You and I/Close to the Edge - Flash: Birthright/Themes/Brother of Mine/The Meeting/Order of the Universe... and so on. The structure of the performance starting with each person's solo section and then moving to the band section is also nostalgic, and while Anderson/Howe/Wakeman are clearly YES, the contrast with Bruford who makes full use of Eledra is also typical of ABWH. . And above all, the wonders of classics revived with Blueford! Alan White has become the standard in the long history of YES, but Bruford is still the originator. Although the equipment is different from the 1970s, the fine and delicate phrasing depicts the song's true nature. In particular, the live performance of "And You and I" and "Close to the Edge", which was not possible in the 1970s, was enough to make me emotional (I know it's too late now, but I also wanted to listen to "Siberian Khatru") . In the history of progressive rock that spans over 50 years, many super bands have appeared and ignited the scene. Among them, there was no project that was as much a fan's dream as ABWH. The official multi-camera pro shot is a symbol of this. Shoreline Amphitheater, Mountain View, CA, USA 9th September 1989 Broadcast Date: 16th June 2010 1. Intro 2.
