Ana Popovic made her debut in Serbia in early 2000, and was called the Susan Tedeschi of Eastern Europe as a rising star among female blues guitarists. Her playing style is not so much blues as it is rockin' blues in the direct line of Jimi Hendrix and Ray Vaughan. Her greatest features are her modern funky style and her driving, sharp slide work. Her slide with wah and distortion is her greatest charm, even on heavy funk beats. Until around 2006, she was only known in Europe, but in 2007, she released an album from Delta Groove, a new living blues company near Hollywood, and the producer was the superstar John Porter, who has worked on more than 10 Grammy-winning albums in the past. Since then, she has become a big hit in the United States, and this video records her live performance from her short showcase-like US tour from January 7th to 11th, 2015, with various audience footage including mobile.
