"AT FILLMORE EAST" is one of the greatest live albums in rock history. All reissues are silenced by this one! Delivering the highest quality sound with the freshest master tapes and the "true Fillmore experience"! Not only is "AT FILLMORE EAST" the Allman Brothers Band's greatest masterpiece, it's also renowned as one of the most glorious live albums in the history of 1970s American rock. Even if you're not an Allman Brothers Band fanatic, there are probably many who own this live album. In fact, because it's such a classic, it has been reissued in various forms to this day, especially since the CD era of the 1990s, with expanded versions, remixes, and even a compilation set of live performances recorded specifically for this album. While the album itself has been released in high-quality formats on both CD and LP, the continued reissues due to its popularity inevitably led to deterioration of the master tape. While recent releases have overcome this challenge by remixing, this has also proven that it is no longer possible to fully reproduce the original mix and sound quality. In this respect, the original 1971 LP captures the album in its original form and with crystal-clear sound quality. Of course, with the current analog revival, the original AT FILLMORE EAST LP has already become a highly sought-after item. Even rarer are the so-called "Promotional DJ Copies," pressed for the then-thriving American radio stations prior to the album's release. These copies were never intended for general distribution, and because they were genuine first pressings produced even earlier than the general distribution record pressings, they are highly sought after among record enthusiasts, naturally guaranteeing excellent sound quality. Obtaining one is extremely difficult, and finding a version in good condition is even more difficult—perhaps even more so. Not to mention the opening of "In Memory Of Elizabeth Reed," the longer "You Don't Love Me" and the later half of "Whipping Post" feature solos by Duane and Dickey, as well as quiet sections without any accompanying accompaniment. Reproducing these tracks clearly on a vintage LP is a daunting task. And what we've acquired here isn't just a "Promotional DJ Copy"! This is a "Promotional DJ Copy" made at the Presswell plant, the main record pressing plant of Atlantic Records, the parent company of Capricorn Records, which was the label that signed the Allman Brothers Band at the time. This was the first to send the freshest master tapes out of the various record pressing plants across the US. What's more, the matrix, familiar to record enthusiasts, is fully "C" on sides 1 through 4, marking this album as a US first pressing! The titles we present today are based on: 1) the US original; 2) a DJ promo pressing, pressed even earlier than the general distribution; 3) a pressing at Presswell, the main plant for the ATLANTIC label, where master tapes are sent the earliest; and 4) a "C" matrix on every disc, marking it as a first pressing. This makes it an early pressing, even among the US originals, with the freshest sound, and one or two levels of sonic perfection. This isn't just a premium release! Taking this mega-rare DJ promo LP in pristine condition, we've performed a thorough clean transfer. You'll be stunned by the clarity, even listening at full volume with headphones—not even a trace of scratch noise is audible. Of course, scratch noise is inevitable on the original vintage LP, but we've beautifully removed it without compromising sound quality. We guarantee you'll enjoy listening to the entire disc with complete peace of mind. And above all, the sound quality is astounding! It's so natural and powerful, it truly evokes freshness! This alone puts it on a whole new level compared to current CDs. Even the wildly popular Mobile Fidelity release pales in comparison to the fresh sound quality of this release. It's hard to compare to the freshness of this first-edition Matrix DJ promo LP, hastily pressed at the main Presswell plant from the original 1971 master tapes. The difference is so clear it's almost laughable, even from the opening track, "Statesboro Blues," a track that many enthusiasts have likely listened to countless times. The clarity and fullness of the original '71 master tapes come through so naturally. This is a sound quality that no digital remastering technology from the CD era could match! This shocking release allows you to easily listen to the original sound of this mega-rare, first-edition Matrix DJ promo LP from the Presswell plant, noiselessly. This is the true Fillmore! Every "AT FILLMORE EAST" fan must bow down before this! AT FILLMORE EAST: US ORIGINAL GENUINE FIRST PRESSING PROMO DJ COPY EDITION - "PRESSWELL PRESSING & ALL MAT C/C/C/C"(2CD) Disc:1 (37:13) 1.
