This is the ultimate official video of the legendary ALCATRAZZ's first visit to Japan, which sent shockwaves across the archipelago. The centerpiece of this release is the legendary "METALLIC LIVE '84." This ultimate version features bonus footage of the show's prodigious pro-shots. Fans of Graham and Yngwie have likely seen this ultra-familiar footage, and a Japanese DVD is currently available. However, this is the pinnacle of quality. Our shop has been introducing laserdisc reissue series aiming for the highest quality, and this release is one of them. This top-of-the-line version, which became a huge hit upon its DVD release and is now sold out and out of print, is the foundation of this series. The Japanese laserdisc is the foundation of this series. During the era of laserdisc popularity, Japan, amidst the booming bubble, was eager to embrace this new media, boasting the world's highest quality in both manufacturing and disc quality. Although the medium is now on the brink of extinction, there are still many masterpieces that have not yet been officially released on DVD, attracting the attention of enthusiasts worldwide searching for the ultimate form: Japanese laser discs are amazing! This reissue series uses only the finest, scratch-free Japanese laser discs, treasured by enthusiasts. The digitization process is also cutting-edge and meticulous. We partnered exclusively with an overseas manufacturer specializing in the restoration of analog video, transferring every bit of data from the laser discs to DVD using professional equipment and an environment. When we inquired about the specific equipment used, the overseas manufacturer simply said it was a "trade secret" (though from their words, it seems they work in a dedicated studio). However, the finished product itself is of such high quality that it is convincing. Because it's laser disc, there's no distortion, line noise, or unevenness that are often associated with video transcription, and the resolution is far superior. Furthermore, the visual beauty, maximizing the potential of laser discs, boasts natural, smooth color reproduction and crisp, clear edges. In fact, this work is of the highest quality, untainting the previous series. Even the gaps in Graham's short blonde hair are clear, and Yngwie's divine skills and intense action are truly beautiful. As with filming in the '80s, the afterimages of the lighting remain on the lens, and even their trajectories are vividly captured. And there unfolds the explosive performance of a young Yngwie and the heroic figure of Graham. Speaking of 1984, Yngwie and Steve Vai came to Japan twice. Moreover, official footage of both shows remains. This is a good opportunity to look back at the show positions by schedule. First visit to Japan (Yngwie Malmsteen): January 24th: Osaka Festival Hall; January 26th: Nagoya City Public Hall; January 28th: Nakano Sunplaza ←★This album★; January 29th: Nakano Sunplaza (day and night) Second visit to Japan (Steve Vai): October 3rd: Nagoya Labor Hall; October 4th: Amagasaki Archaic Hall; October 8th: Shibuya Public Hall; October 10th: Tokyo Welfare Pension Hall "POWER LIVE"; October 11th: Nakano Sunplaza To be honest, Graham wasn't in top form, and there were many scenes where he couldn't finish singing. This footage may have led to the disgraceful misconception that "Graham is no good live," but even so, the stunning quality of "'80s Graham" is still amazing. Despite his work with illustrious guitar heroes, from RAINBOW to IMPELLITTERI, his pro shots can be counted on one hand. His character, not only shining through his voice but also through his performance, is truly remarkable, so it's wonderful to be able to enjoy his work in full, official, extended footage. And as for the other main character, Yngwie Malmsteen, well-known already. This film is packed with performances from the time when this revolutionary, who rewrote guitar history, first caused a worldwide sensation. Moreover, the Japanese staff, who truly understood its meaning and value, have provided ample zoom footage. As you all well know, 90% of the highlight and significance of this work lies in him (thinking about it now, Yngwie's smashing Eddie Cochran's "Something Else" is also impressive). This release also includes bonus footage of three pro shots from Hollywood's Rock Palace and two promotional videos (three takes). Again, this is the best picture and sound quality ever. In particular, the promotional video not only has excellent picture quality but also excellent audio quality, so high-quality that you might think, "Did they put a CD on it?" (It's not a CD, as it includes dialogue and sound effects.) This DVD contains all of the professional shot footage of the hero Graham Bonnet and guitar revolutionary Yngwie Malmsteen standing side by side, in the highest quality in the world.
