This is a live video of Alaska, a band formed by former Whitesnake member Bernie Marsden. After Coverdale temporarily disbanded Whitesnake in 1982, Bernie started his own activities and formed bands such as SOS, ALASKA, and MGM, but most of them fell through before they could get on track. The only band that made it to the point of releasing an album was Alaska, which was formed by Bernie, singer Robert Hawthorne, former MAGNUM member Richard Bayley, and former MARILLION member John Martel, and their debut album ``HEART OF THE STORM'' attracted attention for its hard pop sound. Later, Don Airey joined on keyboards, and they released their second album ``THE PACK'' and a live video ``ALIVE''. After that, they eventually disbanded again, but this title is the official video ``ALIVE'' made into a DVD from the best quality master available, and fans will be very happy now that the video is already difficult to obtain. And because it's official, there's no need to explain the quality, it's a recording of a concert at the Roundhouse in London in 1986. The set also includes all nine songs from "THE PACK" except for "Miss You Tonight", as well as the four songs from their debut album, "Headlines", "Can't Let Go", "Sorcerer" and "Don't Say It's Over". The pop sound is largely due to Don Airey's synth arrangements. In addition, as a bonus, there are pro shots of the band's appearance on the German music TV program "MUSIK CONVOY" and at the Belgian festival "SHOCKWAVE FESTIVAL". The bonus track "Secrets" is not included on the album, so be sure to check that out, and the total of 89 minutes, including interviews, is a must-have item for deep pretty rock fans.
