AEROSMITH dominated the world in 1977, releasing a string of historic masterpieces. This soundboard album will transport you to their zenith live performances. This work permanently preserves the "June 24, 1977 Houston Performance"—a stereo soundboard recording. 1977 was a memorable year, even for their legendary first visit to Japan, and a period of mass production of some of the most famous recordings in the world, even in the 1970s. Our shop has archived numerous masterpieces. While organizing this collection, let's first take a bird's-eye view of their activities at their height. 1976 “ROCKS Tour” April 27th – May 1st: North America #1a (4 shows) (ROCKS released May 3rd) May 3rd – September 13th: North America #1b (60 shows) ←※DEFINITIVE COW PALACE ’76 October 13th – November 1st: Europe #1 (12 shows) ←※DEFINITIVE ZURICH 1976 November 10th – December 19th: North America #2 (15 shows) ←※DETROIT 1976 1977 January 29th – February 9th: First visit to Japan (7 shows) ←※DEFINITIVE FUKUOKA 1977 “DRAW THE LINE Tour” ・ June 21st - July 8th: North America #3 (11 performances) ←★Here★ ・ August 13th - 27th: Europe #2 (7 performances) ・ September 28th - December 8th: North America #4a (19 performances) 《December 9th "DRAW THE LINE" released》 ・ December 10th - 27th: North America #4b (6 performances) ←※LARGO 1977 This is AEROSMITH in 1976/1977. In 1977, two tours, "ROCKS Tour" and "DRAW THE LINE Tour", intersected, but the change was a bit surprising. The album was released in December, but the change in tour took place nearly half a year earlier. The "DRAW THE LINE Tour" began with "North America #3" in June, and this Houston performance was the third performance of the tour. There were two consecutive performances in Houston, and this was the first day of the tour. Pro shots of such shows have long been known, but this work is a different soundboard master. It is a stereo master, different from the completely mono video audio. In fact, there are two types of video, which makes things complicated, so let's organize them here. A: A multi-camera pro shot of the first day's long-length pro shot, the familiar Houston first day, "June 24th." The audio is a soundboard, but unlike this work, it is mono. B: Official reprint pro shot. This pro shot, released as part of the band's 50th anniversary project, has made "HOUSTON 1977: UPGRADE" a standard. It is a superb quality digest work of about an hour, with a mix of two Houston performances, "June 24th + 25th." C: First day stereo soundboard (this work) A stereo soundboard from the first day of Houston, "June 24th." It is of higher quality than the audio of "A" above, and longer than "B." ...And so it is. This work is "C," and not just stereo, but the sound quality itself is higher quality than "A." Unlike the thin and sparse "A" audio, the midrange is rich and satisfying, with a superb balance from high to low frequencies. It's a dynamic sound that approaches "B" as well. And what really overwhelms "B" is the approximately 82-minute full show. Let's organize the set by comparing it not only with "HOUSTON 1977: UPGRADE" but also with the most recent soundboard, "DEFINITIVE FUKUOKA 1977 (Zodiac 740)." Dark Night Heavy Rock (5 songs), Big Ten Inch Record (★), Adam's Apple (*), Sweet Emotion, Walk This Way, Toys in the Attic, and others (11 songs), Fly! Aerosmith: S.O.S. (Too Bad) / Lord Of The Thighs / Same Old Song and Dance / Train Kept A Rollin' (★) Rocks: Rats In The Cellar / Lick And A Promise / Sick As A Dog Other: Mama Kin / Dream On / Draw The Line (*) / Rattlesnake Shake (★*) *Note: "★" indicates tracks not included in the official video version of "HOUSTON 1977: UPGRADE." "*" indicates tracks not included in the Japan soundboard album "DEFINITIVE FUKUOKA 1977." This is the pinnacle of soundboard albums, allowing you to enjoy a full show at the height of the golden '70s. This Cultural Heritage Master 2CD delivers scorching live performances with quality that surpasses the pro-shot version. This stereo soundboard recording of the "June 24, 1977 Houston Performance" is a must-have. This stereo master is different from the completely mono Pro Shot sound, and the sound quality itself is high quality. Unlike the sparse/flat Pro Shot sound, there is plenty of response in the midrange, and the balance from treble to deep bass is excellent. This is the highest peak of the soundboard album that allows you to enjoy a full show at its peak. The Summit, Houston, TX, USA 24th June 1977 STEREO SBD(from Original Masters) UPGRADE!!!
