AEROSMITH's "PERMANENT VACATION" era marked a historic comeback, rocketing to the top of the rock scene. Now, this superb soundboard album replaces their official sound. This work permanently preserves the "February 15, 1988 Houston performance." It's a stereo soundboard recording that captures the entire experience. While "DEFINITIVE HAMPTON 1987" reigns supreme as the symbol of the "PERMANENT VACATION Tour," this album stands alongside that legendary album as a new masterpiece. First, let's examine the overall position of each album in the overall picture of this revitalized world tour. 1987 ("PERMANENT VACATION" released on August 25th) October 16th - December 31st: North America #1 (44 performances) ← *DEFINITIVE HAMPTON 1987 1988 January 16th - February 28th: North America #2 (29 performances) ← ★COCO★ March 21st - May 22nd: North America #3 (36 performances) June 17th - 26th: Japan (6 performances) July 2nd - September 15th: North America #4 (40 performances) This is AEROSMITH in 1987/1988. A big tour beyond the 70s was organized, and a miraculous return to Japan was also realized. Among them, "DEFINITIVE HAMPTON 1987" was the early "North America #1," but this work's Houston performance was three months later. It was the 20th performance of "North America #2." Many of you may already have a pin, but this show is famous for the pro shots that represent the tour. It's a staple in our shop with gifts and bonus titles. This work isn't a drop in the sound... It's a different master provided by an overseas researcher. It's also a master of the highest quality, far better than video audio. In fact, the sound is "completely official." Tracing the source, the mix seems to be the same as the pro shot audio on the same soundboard, but the new master is even more robust and thick. The sound quality itself is about two ranks higher than the video version, but what's even more powerful is the perfectly aligned phase. In fact, the pro shot audio had a phase inversion on one channel, making it extremely thin. However, this new master perfectly aligned the phase, perfectly reproducing the band's original sound. The intensely blown-out stereo feeling and the extremely thick feeling that imprints itself on the brain are beautifully revived. Such a sound depicts AEROSMITH, who is at the center of the historic revival. As mentioned above, the iconic soundboard of the "PERMANENT VACATION Tour" is "DEFINITIVE HAMPTON 1987," but this work has a different set due to the different legs. Let's organize the full set while comparing it here. Permanent Vacation (6 songs) Dude (Looks Like a Lady) / Rag Doll / Hangman Jury (★) / Permanent Vacation (★) / Angel (★) / I'm Down (★) Dark Night Heavy Rock (4 songs) Toys in the Attic / Big Ten Inch Record / Sweet Emotion / Walk This Way Others (8 songs + α) Fly! Aerosmith: Same Old Song And Dance / Train Kept A Rollin'; Rocks: Back In The Saddle / Last Child; Others: Lightning Strikes / Draw the Line / One Way Street (Darkness) (★) / Dream On. *Note: The "★" indicates a song not included on the soundboard masterpiece "DEFINITIVE HAMPTON 1987." While "DEFINITIVE HAMPTON 1987" was still a wait-and-see album, this new release features a significant increase in "PERMANENT VACATION." The rarely performed "Angel" and "I'm Down" are also featured. A must-listen classic is "One Way Street." While this song itself is valuable, it also incorporates the rare "Darkness," allowing for a unique arrangement that seamlessly transitions into "Dream On." While featuring the same live performance as the classic pro shot, this is a significantly upgraded, top-of-the-line soundboard album. Boasting quality on par with the "DEFINITIVE HAMPTON 1987" album, this new masterpiece boasts a complementary set that has risen to the top of two major albums. This stereo soundboard recording from the "February 15, 1988 Houston performance" features a new master provided by an overseas researcher, and is an upgraded version that sounds several levels better than the pro-shot audio from the same day. The audio from the superb pro-shots feels so thin, and you can enjoy plenty of the classic tracks from "PERMANENT VACATION" that weren't heard on the classic "DEFINITIVE HAMPTON 1987." This is the birth of a new masterpiece that marks the culmination of the tour with "DEFINITIVE HAMPTON 1987." The Summit, Houston, TX, USA, February 15, 1988, STEREO SBD UPGRADE!!!
