"LIVE! BOOTLEG" is a traditional masterpiece that symbolizes the golden 70's. The original soundboard album will be released in two versions at the same time. It is available as a best master CD supervised by researchers. This work is the second part of the two simultaneous releases. It is a stereo soundboard recording of the "Philadelphia performance on March 26, 1978". Speaking of "Complete version LIVE! BOOTLEG", the masterpiece "DEFINITIVE BOSTON 1978" is also a classic, but of course this work is a different performance. In order to confirm the situation around that, let's first take a bird's-eye view of the activities at that time. 1977 January 29th - February 9th: First visit to Japan (7 performances) "DRAW THE LINE Tour" June 21st - July 9th: North America #1 (12 performances) ← *Official 5 songs August 13th - 27th: Europe (7 performances) September 28th - December 27th: North America #2a (39 performances) 1978 January 7th + 10th: North America #2b (2 performances) March 5th - April 8th: North America #3 (15 performances) ← ★Here★ May 3rd - 26th: North America #4 (12 performances) June 27th - August 9th: North America #5 (21 performances) ← *TEXXAS JAM '78 and others "LIVE! BOOTLEG Tour" September 27th - December 16th: North America #6 (44 performances) This is AEROSMITH in 1977 and 1978. Eight songs, about half of "LIVE! BOOTLEG", were concentrated in "North America #3", and both "DEFINITIVE BOSTON 1978" and this week's two titles were born from here. Let's take a closer look at the relative positions of each with more detailed dates. Details of "North America #3" ・March 5-15 (6 performances) *March 18 "CALIFORNIA JAM 2" *March 23 "ARAGON BALLROOM 1978" (2 official songs) *March 24 "COLUMBUS '78" (1 official song) *March 26: Philadelphia (1 official song) ←★This work★ *March 28 "DEFINITIVE BOSTON 1978" (1 official song) ・March 29: Boston performance ・April 2: Detroit (2 official songs) ・April 7: Santa Monica performance ・April 8: Santa Monica (1 official song) ... and so on. The simultaneously released "UNRELEASED "LIVE BOOTLEG" COLUMBUS '78" and "DEFINITIVE BOSTON 1978" are sister works of three consecutive performances, and this Philadelphia performance is the middle day. "LIVE! BOOTLEG" was also a live performance that adopted the secret track "Draw the Line". This work that conveys such a show is a rich and dynamic sound board. The simultaneously released "UNRELEASED "LIVE BOOTLEG" COLUMBUS '78" has been digitized from the best master supervised by overseas researchers, but while the sister work stands out for its sharpness different from the official version, this work is closer to the official "LIVE! BOOTLEG". More specifically, it sounds very similar to our "DEFINITIVE BOSTON 1978". If you mix the two works and play them randomly, you won't know which one you're listening to halfway through. The thick core and ample density are wonderful, and the vividness and closeness peculiar to the soundboard are also vivid, and the pleasure of the live performance unique to the 1970s being engraved into the brain one note at a time is unbearable. Such a rich soundboard depicts a full show that can be called a "through version LIVE! BOOTLEG". As mentioned above, "LIVE! BOOTLEG" is an edited work collected from various places over a five-year span. The set is very different from this work, which is a single live performance, so let's organize it by comparing it. Songs that overlap with "LIVE! BOOTLEG" (8 songs): Walk This Way, Sight For Sore Eyes, Sweet Emotion, Lord Of The Thighs, Chip Away the Stone, Draw The Line (*), Toys in the Attic, Train Kept a Rollin' Others (9 songs): Draw The Line: I Wanna Know Why, Kings And Queens (★), Get It Up, Milk Cow Blues Others: Rats In The Cellar, Big Ten Inch Record, Seasons of Wither, Get The Lead Out, Same Old Song and Dance *Note: * indicates takes that were used in "LIVE! BOOTLEG". ★ indicates songs that were not heard on "UNRELEASED "LIVE BOOTLEG" COLUMBUS '78". To put it bluntly, it is the same selection as "DEFINITIVE BOSTON 1978", and the difference with the sister work "COLUMBUS '78" is that you can listen to "Kings And Queens" instead of "Dream On". Of course, the best one is "Kings And Queens", which was only performed a few times in 1977/1978. Although it has been featured somewhat since the 1990s, it is still rare, and it is very valuable to be able to enjoy it with the band potential of the 1970s. This is a treasure sound board that allows you to enjoy the show that was the basis of "LIVE! BOOTLEG" with a sound that is close to that wonderful "DEFINITIVE BOSTON 1978". Two best masters that could only be known by a researcher who has been pursuing sound sources for many years. Stereo sound board recording of "Philadelphia performance on March 26, 1978". Complete version of the sound board on which "Draw the Line" was adopted for "LIVE! BOOTLEG". This is the best master supervised by overseas researchers, and has a rich sound similar to the classic masterpiece "DEFINITIVE BOSTON 1978". This is a new masterpiece of a sound board that pours a full show, which can be called "LIVE! BOOTLEG", into your brain, including the precious "Kings And Queens".
