"LIVE! BOOTLEG" is a traditional masterpiece that symbolizes the golden 70's. The original soundboard album will be released in two versions at the same time. It will be released as a best master CD supervised by researchers. This work is the first part of the two simultaneous releases. It is a stereo soundboard recording of the "March 24, 1978 Columbus performance". "LIVE! BOOTLEG" is an edited work assembled from various live performances from 1973 to 1978, but the main one is 1978. First of all, let's take a look at the position of this work while taking a bird's-eye view of the activities at that time. 1977 January 29th - February 9th: First visit to Japan (7 performances) "DRAW THE LINE Tour" June 21st - July 9th: North America #1 (12 performances) ← *Official 5 songs August 13th - 27th: Europe (7 performances) September 28th - December 27th: North America #2a (39 performances) 1978 January 7th + 10th: North America #2b (2 performances) March 5th - April 8th: North America #3 (15 performances) ←★Here★ May 3rd - 26th: North America #4 (12 performances) June 27th - August 9th: North America #5 (21 performances) ← *Official 2 songs "LIVE! BOOTLEG Tour" September 27th - December 16th: North America #6 (44 performances) This is AEROSMITH in 1977/1978. "LIVE! BOOTLEG" was produced from 11 live performances, about half of which were concentrated in "North America #3". The two titles this week are also part of that, so let's focus on the dates and check their relative positions. Details of "North America #3" March 5-15 (6 performances) * March 18 "CALIFORNIA JAM 2" * March 23 "ARAGON BALLROOM 1978" (2 official songs) * March 24: Columbus (1 official song) ← ★ This work ★ * March 26 "PHILADELPHIA '78" (1 official song) * March 28 "DEFINITIVE BOSTON 1978" (1 official song) March 29: Boston performance April 2: Detroit (2 official songs) April 7: Santa Monica performance April 8: Santa Monica (1 official song) ... and so on. Our classic "DEFINITIVE BOSTON 1978 (Zodiac 528)" was also the source material for "LIVE! BOOTLEG", but the Columbus performance of this work was a concert four days before (two performances before). In "LIVE! BOOTLEG", only one song "Sight for Sore Eyes" was used in the show, but this work is a soundboard album that allows you to enjoy the whole view. It has been digitized from the best master supervised by overseas researchers, and the sound is more vivid than the official version and seems to be broadcast. The contours are also sharp and fiercely sharp, and the two guitars in particular are beautifully separated to the left and right, running through your brain like a dance. It is sharper than the official version, but at the same time, you can immerse yourself in the pleasure of your whole body being tortured by the intense rawness. Such a low soundboard depicts a stage that can be called the "complete version of LIVE! BOOTLEG". This is actually a different set from the simultaneously released "UNRELEASED "LIVE BOOTLEG" COLUMBUS '78" and the classic "DEFINITIVE BOSTON 1978," so let's compare them and organize them. Songs that overlap with "LIVE! BOOTLEG" (9 songs): Walk This Way/Sight For Sore Eyes (*)/Sweet Emotion/Lord Of The Thighs/Dream On (★)/Chip Away the Stone/Draw The Line/Toys in the Attic/Train Kept a Rollin' Others (8 songs): Draw the Line: I Wanna Know Why/Get It Up/Milk Cow Blues Others: Rats In The Cellar/Big Ten Inch Record/Seasons of Wither/Get The Lead Out/Same Old Song and Dance *Note: * indicates the take that was used in "LIVE! BOOTLEG." The "★" mark indicates songs that were not heard on "UNRELEASED "LIVE BOOTLEG" COLUMBUS '78" or "DEFINITIVE BOSTON 1978". As mentioned above, "LIVE! BOOTLEG" is an edited work that was compiled from various places over a five-year period. About half of the songs overlap in this work (only Sight For Sore Eyes has the same take). Also, "Dream On" is a song that was not performed on the most recent "COLUMBUS '78" and "DEFINITIVE BOSTON 1978". If there is one thing missing from the masterpiece "LIVE! BOOTLEG", it would be the flow and unity of a full live performance. This work is a soundboard album that gives you the real pleasure of it. The best master CD that only a researcher could know. A full show from the 1970s when AEROSMITH was at its most crazy and sharp. Stereo soundboard recording of the "March 24, 1978 Columbus performance". The complete version of the soundboard on which "Sight for Sore Eyes" was adopted for "LIVE! BOOTLEG". This is the best master supervised by overseas researchers, and the sound is more vivid and fiercely sharp than the official version. In particular, the two guitars are beautifully separated to the left and right, and run through your brain like a dance. This is an essential piece for the golden age soundboard collection, where you can enjoy plenty of repertoire that you can't hear on "LIVE! BOOTLEG".
