10 years have passed since the revival of “PERMANENT VACATION”. In 1997, AEROSMITH returned from the gorgeous GEFFEN to his old club COLUMBIA and released his new album "NINE LIVES" to number one in the US. Introducing a sound board and professional shot set that shows off the super big name at its peak. This work contains two performances: a stereo soundboard recording of "May 17, 1997 ROCK AM RING" on disk 1, and a multi-camera recording of "May 18, 1997 ROCK IM PARK" on disk 1. A 2-disc set with shots arranged on disc 2. This is a gorgeous set that won Germany's leading brother festivals "ROCK AM RING" and "ROCK IM PARK." AEROSMITH during the GEFFEN era achieved huge success and was said to be the ``best in the world'' at the time due to their rapid advance, but their momentum stopped once in 1994. They had been silent for about three years due to label transfer issues, but the announcement of ``NINE LIVES'' and the start of the tour created an unusual amount of excitement as it was the restart of a super-big name. First of all, let’s check the show’s position from the schedule at that time. [“NINE LIVES” released on March 18th]・May 8th – June 15th: Europe (20 performances) ←★Here★・June 30th – December 31st: North America (63 performances) This is 1997 AEROSMITH. Although it is a simple yet impressive world tour of 83 performances...it is actually less than half of it. The dates were added one after another, and in the end, the “Nine Lives Tour” became a huge tour with a total of 204 performances until July 1999. In such a situation, the two performances of this work are the beginning and the beginning. It was also the 5th/6th performance of the "European" leg that opened the show. “ROCK AM RING” and “ROCK IM PARK”, which they performed in the midst of such a restart, were broadcast on radio and TV as they were very famous festivals. It has become a standard that has produced many previous releases. This work is also such a broadcast sound board / professional shot, but it is a set of the highest peak master. The FM broadcast of “ROCK AM RING” (Disc 1) is a lively mix that seems like a broadcast, and even Tom Hamilton’s bass is solid. The 5 members of AEROSMITH come straight into your head with their bare feet and a colorful stereo mix that is unique to the soundboard. The replacement TV broadcast of “ROCK IM PARK” (disc 2) has a bland audio mix, but the multi-camera professional shots are spectacular and the master freshness is superb. Although it has an undeniable period analog feel, there is no tape twist, white line noise, or distortion at all. Even the oldest, Steven Tyler, is still in his 40s, so you can enjoy plenty of energetic performances. The two performances will be of such high quality that they will perform 70's classics, as well as big hits from the GEFFEN era and delicious "NINE LIVES" numbers. The contents of the two performances are different, so let's summarize them here. Common to Discs 1 & 2 - Birth of the Beast: Dream On/Mama Kin - Dark Night Heavy Rock: Sweet Emotion/Walk This Way - Permanent Vacation: Rag Doll - Pump: Love in an Elevator/Monkey On My Back - Nine Lives: Falling In Love (Is Hard On The Knees) / Pink Disc 1 (ROCK AM RING soundboard) only - Permanent Vacation: Dude (Looks Like a Lady) - Get a Grip: Cryin' - Nine Lives: Taste Of India・Others: Oh Well Disc 2 (ROCK IM PARK Pro Shot) only ・Pump: What It Takes/F.I.N.E./Janie's Got a Gun ・Get a Grip: Livin' on the Edge ・Nine Lives: Nine Lives/Hole In My Soul/Something's Gotta Give...and it goes like this. Not only are both performances edited according to their respective broadcast frames, but the sets at the scene are also different. As a result, you can enjoy 20 songs and 29 takes on discs 1 and 2 in total. This tour is also featured in "A LITTLE SOUTH OF SANITY", but in addition to "F.I.N.E.", "NINE LIVES" numbers such as "Pink", "Taste Of India", "Nine Lives" and "Something's Gotta Give" are also included there. These are famous songs that you can't even listen to. In 1997, they were showing off their monster side in the glory of being No. 1 in the US, but they hadn't touched "I Don't Want to Miss a Thing" yet. This is a luxurious set where you can enjoy two high-energy performances kicking off a huge world tour with a stereo soundboard and multi-camera professional shots. A two-disc set with a stereo soundboard recording of "May 17, 1997 ROCK AM RING" and a multi-camera pro shot of "May 18, ROCK IM PARK" the next day. ROCK AM RING's FM broadcast (Disc 1) has a vivid, richly colored stereo mix that goes all the way to the base, and ROCK IM PARK's TV broadcast (Disc 2) is also beautiful with no tape distortion or white line noise. You can also enjoy “NINE LIVES” numbers that cannot be heard on “A LITTLE SOUTH OF SANITY” such as “Pink”, “Taste Of India”, “Nine Lives” and “Something’s Gotta Give”.
