This nearly complete recording of the August 22nd San Diego concert, taken from the North American tour shortly after Joe and Brad returned in 1984, is available for 1 hour and 39 minutes from the original audience master recordings of Marco Moir, a taper whose work has been the subject of much discussion since its recent release. Originally owned by the legendary California taper, who was active from the mid-'80s to early '90s, roughly the same time as Mike Millard, this recording was never traded until recently, when a renowned collector unearthed it and restored these precious live recordings on high-quality tape. The quality of the recordings is almost on par with the Millard tapes. Incidentally, Millard did not keep any recordings of this performance, making this a rare recording never before released in Japan. As this was the beginning of a comeback concert with the five original members, with the return of two members who had temporarily left the band, the set consisted almost entirely of Aerosmith's signature numbers from the 1970s. In particular, the three songs from "Night in the Rats" were rarely performed after this, and as this was a rare period leading up to the golden age of the 1980s, this is a must-listen for fans.
