The transcendent soundboard leaked by those involved that shocked the world has been unexpectedly upgraded! In addition to the natural sound of the latest transfer, a new and definitive edition with bonus recordings of the first-ever sound source has been decided for release! Permanently preserved in this work is the "Santa Monica Performance on April 8, 1978." This is the stereo soundboard recording. This show is also known as the day that was adopted for "LIVE! BOOTLEG," but it was also the soundboard that contributed to that theory. To explain the circumstances surrounding this, let's first take a bird's-eye view of the activities at the time and approach the position of this work. 1977 January 29th - February 9th: First visit to Japan (7 shows) "DRAW THE LINE Tour" June 21st - July 9th: North America #1 (12 shows) ← *Official 5 songs August 13th - 27th: Europe (7 shows) ←★Bonus of this work★ September 28th - December 27th: North America #2a (39 shows) 1978 January 7th + 10th: North America #2b (2 shows) March 5th - April 8th: North America #3 (15 shows) ←★Main of this work★ May 3rd - 26th: North America #4 (12 shows) June 27th - August 9th: North America #5 (21 shows) ←※TEXXAS JAM '78 and others "LIVE! BOOTLEG Tour” September 27th - December 16th: North America # 6 (44 performances) This is AEROSMITH in 1977/1978. The Santa Monica performance of this work was part of “North America # 3”, but this was also the time when most of “LIVE! BOOTLEG” was recorded. We have introduced many original soundboards, so let’s focus on the dates further while incorporating that collection. Details of "North America # 3" March 5th-15th (6 performances) * March 18th "CALIFORNIA JAM 2" * March 23rd "ARAGON BALLROOM 1978" (2 official songs) * March 24th "COLUMBUS '78" (1 official song) * March 26th "PHILADELPHIA '78" (1 official song) * March 28th "DEFINITIVE BOSTON 1978" (1 official song) March 29th: Boston performance April 2nd: Detroit (2 official songs) April 7th: Santa Monica performance * April 8th: Santa Monica (1 official song) ←★ This work ★ A master of leaked information from relevant parties who cut into the back of the official masterpiece ... In this way, this work was recorded on the final day when "North America # 3" was divided. And its appearance was a shock itself. This was newly discovered in 2014 through the same insider channels as the legendary demo album "ROCKS SESSION (Zodiac 570)," a previously unknown, ultra-premium soundboard. And so a mystery arose. "LIVE! BOOTLEG" supposedly featured one track from the Santa Monica performance, "Chip Away the Stone," but the performance is different from the one featured on this album. The cassette used as the source for this album bears the inscription "Santa Monica 4/8/78," likely handwritten at the concert, making it unlikely that a mistake could have occurred. While this is purely speculation, perhaps a different performance was confused with the Santa Monica performance while sifting through the numerous takes during the production of "LIVE! BOOTLEG." Re-digitization dramatically improves the sound quality. In any case, this album is the ultimate update of this legendary soundboard. This isn't a remaster, but rather a retransfer of the one and only cassette copy ever made by the people involved, reimagined with cutting-edge equipment and digitized with the highest precision possible in 2025. Indeed, the power of the retransfer is immense. Every note is meticulously reproduced down to the finest detail, creating a completely different texture. The hi-hat sounds, for example, are so realistic that it's as if the instrument itself is vibrating right before your eyes, and the stereo separation that sweeps left and right is even more vivid. This upgraded feel is not by bootleg standards. While initially hailed as "official grade!", this release has been improved by two levels, approaching the level of high-quality CD. In other words, like "Mobile Fidelity" and "Nimbus Supercut," it's a sound that demands both faithful digitization of the sound left on magnetic tape and accurate transfer to CD media. The bonus recording also includes a shocking sound source, the first of its kind worldwide. While the upgraded sound alone is heartwarming, the master itself remains the same, meaning the show remains incomplete (though improved accuracy allowed for a 20-second digitization). Since the 45-minute length is somewhat lacking, this release includes two additional bonus soundboard tracks, each with three tracks. These were actually recorded on the same tape as the Santa Monica recording. This time, the treasured tapes have been completely reissued. The first of the two soundboards is "Lick and A Promise" and "Chip Away The Stone" from the 1977 Frankfurt performance. Like the main recording, this is a superb leaked stereo soundboard recording. There's also a mystery surrounding this sound source: there's no Frankfurt performance on the 1970s tour dates. Therefore, the exact date is unknown, but it's definitely a premium soundboard. The second is an instrumental demo of "Lick and A Promise." This take was actually included on the aforementioned masterpiece "ROCKS SESSION," but this is an even better-sounding upgrade. This is a superb soundboard leaked by a source who made a huge impact in 2014. This upgraded edition maximizes its potential. It features the highest quality sound made possible by transfer technology evolved over the past decade, as well as bonus tracks, making their worldwide debut. This is a superb stereo soundboard recording of the "Santa Monica Performance on April 8, 1978." This is a uniquely unearthed leaked master, retransferred from the original cassette using cutting-edge technology, resulting in a top-notch upgrade. Every note is precisely reproduced down to the finest details, creating a completely different texture. The hi-hat sounds, for example, are so realistic that it feels as if the instrument itself is vibrating right in front of you, and the stereo separation that blows left and right is even more vivid. This new, definitive edition also includes three bonus tracks from leaked soundboards, making their worldwide debut.
