The "Jimmy Crespo/Brad Whiford" era, which existed for only a year and a half, is a fleeting one. The iconic soundboard has been upgraded! It has been decided to release it as a newly excavated master CD through a unique route! This work is engraved with the "Boston performance on December 3, 1980". It is a stereo soundboard recording recorded at a special concert celebrating the 10th anniversary of the band's formation. Crespo joined the band towards the end of the production of "NIGHT IN THE RUTS" and remained with the band until Joe Perry returned in 1984. First, let's take a rough overview of those five years and approach the position of this work. June 1979: Joe leaves → Jimmy Crespo joins, November 16th "NIGHT IN THE RUTS" released 1980 ←★Here★ July 1981: Brad leaves → Rick Dufay joins 1982, August 27th "ROCK IN A HARD PLACE" released 1983 May 1984: Joe/Brad return This is a brief history of the Jimmy Crespo era. In 1981, Brad's twin guitar partner was replaced by Rick Dufay, but the Boston performance of this work was a scene from the "NIGHT IN THE RUTS" era before that. Now, let's focus on the schedule further. 1979, March 27th - April 14th (4 shows) {June: Joe leaves -> Jimmy Crespo joins}, June 30th - July 28th (5 shows), November 2nd - December 28th (11 shows) 1980, January 10th - June 12th (26 shows), December 1st + 3rd (3 shows) ←★here★ {Brad leaves -> Rick Dufay joins} The above is AEROSMITH in 1979/1980. The records at that time are still vague in some places, and depending on the material, they may differ from the above. Please consider this as a reference to understand the general flow. Anyway, the "NIGHT IN THE RUTS Tour" itself ended in mid-1980. After that, it was about a year until Brad left, and this work was the 10th anniversary concert held in his hometown of Boston in the meantime. The pattern was broadcast on the radio on "WCOZ". The FM sound board has produced many existing groups. This work is the highest peak update of such a standard sound source. It is a newly excavated master provided by a researcher overseas. In fact, the sound is more beautiful than ever. In terms of gene, it is the same "WCOZ FM Reel Master" as the best conventionally, but this work is clearly dynamic and natural. The conventional board also had a strong direct feeling, but the sound was thin and the peak was distorted. However, this work is ferociously rich. The core density is also plentiful, and the outline of each sound is clear and vivid. Above all, the peak is not crushed, it is beautifully extended and very easy to listen to. It is a superb sound board that is truly worthy of being called "completely official class". From here on, it is speculation, but if the conventional board and this work are really the same "WCOZ FM Reel Master", the difference may be the difference in transfer accuracy and mastering. After all, when the old masters were unearthed, it was the loudness war era when "sound pressure is justice". Even if the sound became thin due to a cheap transfer, the cause was not noticed, and it was often processed to make the sound painful to the ears by forcibly earning sound pressure and released. This work has no processing feeling, and the original wideness and range of the master are alive. Such a natural and dynamic sound depicts the live performance of the rare era, which is a singular point in AEROSMITH history. Speaking of Crespo era soundboards, the masterpiece "LIVE IN A HARD PLACE '83" is also familiar, but that was after Rick Dufay joined, so the tour was different and the set was significantly different. Let's organize it while comparing it here. Night in the Rats (3 songs) Three Mile Smile / Reefer Head Woman (★) / Think About It (★) Others (12 songs) Fly! Aerosmith: Lord Of The Thighs/Seasons Of Wither (★)/Train Kept A Rollin'; Heavy Rock in the Dark: Big Ten Inch Record/Walk This Way; Rocks: Rats In The Cellar (★)/Lick And A Promise; Draw The Line: I Wanna Know Why (★)/Milk Cow Blues; Others: Walkin' The Dog (★)/Mother Popcorn (★)/Come Together (★) *Note: ★ marks are songs that were not heard on the soundboard masterpiece "LIVE IN A HARD PLACE '83". ...And so on. There is "Three Mile Smile" played by Crespo on "NIGHT IN THE RUTS", but the rest are just classics and covers from Joe's time. They have been repainted in Crespo's colors. Moreover, "Three Mile Smile" and "I Wanna Know Why" are rare songs that have never been played since his re-break. This work will pour such delicious live performances into your brain with a completely official sound. This is the work of "LIVE IN A HARD PLACE '83" after Dufay joined, and "NIGHT IN THE RUTS Tour" where Brad was still there. These two works are the big decision boards that serve as the official substitutes of the Jimmy Crespo era. It is the highest peak renewal board of the traditional sound board that has climbed to the horizon alongside the official work. Stereo sound board recording of "Boston performance on December 3, 1980". It is a newly excavated master by a unique route, and although it is the FM reel of the same broadcasting station "WCOZ" as the conventional best, the sound is overwhelmingly upgraded. There is no distortion like the conventional master, and it is dynamic and natural. You can enjoy the precious Jimmy Crespo / Brad Whiford era with a completely official sound without complaint. It is an absolute work that serves as an official substitute. Club Boston, Boston, MA, USA 3rd December 1980 STEREO SBD UPGRADE!!! (78:17) 1. DJ Intro & Steve Tyler Backstage Interview 2. Opening 3.
