"THE RAZOR'S EDGE TOUR 1990-1991" was the tour that got AC/DC their ticket to big things. The leaked multi-camera pro shots are now available for release. This "THE RAZOR'S EDGE TOUR" was the tour that determined the fate of AC/DC. Of course, their biggest hit was "BACK IN BLACK", and they reached the top with the No. 1 hit in the US with the following "FOR THOSE ABOUT TO ROCK WE SALUTE YOU". However, after Simon Wright joined in the mid-80s, they went into a slump. Although they maintained a high level, they were not at their peak. But "THE RAZOR'S EDGE" blew it away. Not only did it reach No. 2 on the US charts, but it was a smash hit that eventually sold 5 million copies in the US, surpassing "FOR THOSE ABOUT TO ROCK". With this re-break, AC/DC joined the ranks of the big names that could not be pushed aside. They reached a "different dimension" where they could become a top 10 hit no matter how many years the album interval was. The tour was definitely what supported such a hit. Their great performance swept the whole globe, producing the official works "LIVE" and "LIVE AT DONINGTON", as well as countless singles with different takes. This work is a special one even in "THE RAZOR'S EDGE TOUR". It is a multi-camera pro shot of the "Detroit performance on November 24, 1990". As mentioned above, there is also "LIVE AT DONINGTON" from this tour, so let's imagine the position of the show from the whole tour including that. [1990] "THE RAZORS EDGE" released on September 24th November 2nd - December 16th: North America #1 (33 performances) ★ Here ★ [1991] January 11th - February 22nd: North America #2 (27 performances) March 20th - April 27th: Europe #1 (27 performances) May 24th - July 14th: North America #3 (36 performances) August 10th - September 28th: Europe #2 (20 performances) ← * Official October 14th - November 16th: Oceania (18 performances) This is the outline of "THE RAZOR'S EDGE TOUR". The official "LIVE AT DONINGTON" was in the UK at the end of the tour, but this work is the beginning. It was the 16th performance of "North America #1". The Palace of Auburn Hills, the site of the event, is a treasure trove of professional shots from the early 1990s, and a large amount of treasure footage of various bands has been shot there. Even if we limit it to bands close to HR/HM, KISS, MOTOLEY CRUE, WINGER, RUSH, JUDAS PRIEST, METALLICA, MEGADETH (PRIEST's opening act), and ANTHRAX have been leaked. Some bands have actually officially released this "Auburn Hills professional shot", but this work is the AC/DC version. If you have seen even one of these titles, you will probably understand, but the quality is superb. The drums are off at the beginning of "Thunderstruck", and the audience seats are hardly visible, so it does not reach the great spectacle of the official "LIVE AT DONINGTON", but on the contrary, the rawness unique to the leak is tremendous. The sound quality of the sound board directly connected to the table, which is far from the loud cheers, and the super close-up continuous angles that are probably for the screen are very powerful. The lively drums of Chris Slade and the roaring guitar of Malcolm are both at the brain level. Instead of the venue-scale spectacle, the sense of synchronization with the band far surpasses that of "LIVE AT DONINGTON". Moreover, the momentum of the show depicted with that quality is also amazing. If "LIVE AT DONINGTON" is a passionate performance that served as the finale of a huge festival, this work is the early momentum of the band's reconquest of the world after receiving a huge hit. After all, it is the 16th performance of the world tour. There is still no trace of fatigue, the engine is warmed up and full power is starting to run. "LIVE AT DONINGTON" is also popular as a "video where you can see the intense Angus", but this work approaches the extreme closeness of the even more fierce Angus. And unlike "LIVE AT DONINGTON", the set is also unique to the early part of the tour, and you can enjoy "Sin City", "Who Made Who", "The Razor's Edge", and "That's the Way I Wanna Rock And Roll", which could not be seen in the official video. Of course, these songs could also be heard on "LIVE", but they have a completely different realism and multi-camera view from the mysterious editing that fades between songs one by one. In particular, "The Razor's Edge" and "That's the Way I Wanna Rock and Roll" were not played at all even after Phil Rudd returned, and this tour was the last. This work is a precious pro shot. AC/DC made a brilliant comeback and jumped to a higher level. This work is a masterpiece of a vivid leaked pro shot that records its appearance. It is also a great one to watch as a separate set version of "LIVE AT DONINGTON" and as a video version of "LIVE". Live at The Palace of Auburn Hills, Detroit, MI.
