The super-combined "AC/DC + Axl Rose" shocked the whole world. All the scheduled dates of the so-called "AXL/DC" have been completed. With the end of the tour, bassist Cliff Williams announced his retirement. Angus Young only said "the future is blank", and speculations are flying that "AC/DC is breaking up!?" In this week's gift, which features "PHILADELPHIA 2016", which may be the last live show, we have prepared a full video representative of the North American tour. First, let's check the position from the activity overview of AXL/DC. ・May 7th - June 15th, 2016 (13 shows in Europe) ・August 27th - September 20th, 2016 (10 shows in North America) That's all for AXL/DC. A total of 23 shows were held in Europe and North America, with a tour of the reorganized GUNS N' ROSES in between. This work is a full audience shot of the "Auburn Hills performance on September 9, 2016" in the second half of the North American tour. By the way, let's take a closer look at this North American tour. August 27 Greensboro performance (first day of the North American tour) August 30 Sunrise performance September 1 Atlanta performance September 4 Columbus performance "COLUMBUS 2016" September 6 Cleveland performance September 9 Auburn Hills performance [This work] September 11 Buffalo performance "BUFFALO 2016" September 14 New York performance September 17 Washington DC performance September 20 Philadelphia performance (final day) "PHILADELPHIA 2016" The above are the 10 North American tour performances. So far, we have reported on three live albums, "COLUMBUS 2016", "BUFFALO 2016" and "PHILADELPHIA 2016", but this is the first time we have footage of the North American tour. In fact, this "North American footage" was a problem. There are a lot of AXL/DC videos on the Internet, including YouTube, but most of them are fragmented footage of each song. Although some great full footage appeared during the European tour in May and June (the best of which is "PRAGUE 2016"), the North American footage has decreased dramatically. When full footage occasionally appeared, it was blurry or covered in roaring noises. Even now, with the final performance, there are very few videos that perfectly match the three elements of "high quality, full recording, and North America", and until now, the situation of "I want to introduce it but it doesn't come out" has continued. This work put an end to such frustration. It is a work that perfectly matches the above three elements. The quality of this work is really wonderful and rare. What's unusual is the angle. It was shot with one camera from the second floor seats on the left side of the stage, but the angle is "straight from the side". It's not in front of the stage or diagonally, but from the perspective of looking at the profile and side of all the members. It doesn't zoom in, but just captures the entire "side" view of the stage, which is very interesting. The three drummers, bassist, and rhythm guitarists are tightly packed together at the back of the stage, and Angus and Axel use the remaining 95% of the stage spaciously. This is not limited to AXL/DC, but is also the same AC/DC format as before, but the "stage area" could not be realized with multi-camera or front shots. You can clearly see the "structure of the performance". The quality that depicts such fun is wonderful. As I wrote earlier, "from the second floor seats", but it was probably the front row, so the arms and heads of the front row were not visible at all, and the field of vision was completely occupied by AXL/DC. Furthermore, the sense of stability was also abnormal. I don't know if it's a tripod or an anti-shake function, but the screen doesn't shake at all. Angus and Axel, who are not fixed but move along the runway, are also closely followed, but the smoothly scrolling scenery still spreads beautifully. The sound is amazing, and it is as clear as the scenery. The clear sound with zero obstructions is enough to pass even for a live album with only the audio removed (there is no need to throw away the spacious field of view). ... I praise it highly, but in fact this quality is only for this work. The original video that appeared on the Internet and is currently circulating is not up to this. After the middle of the show, the sound and video were out of sync, and the sound was also at a "too bad!" level. However, I really want to deliver the "North American full video" to everyone. With that in mind, the sound and video were precisely synchronized and the sound was improved. This work is the "representative video of North America" that was finally born in this way. AC/DC was forced to leave due to illness, Malcolm Young and Brian Johnson, and Phil Rudd was also expelled. AXL/DC appeared in the midst of all this. Is it the "future AC/DC" or the "foam of the end"? It seems that it will take some time to find the answer. On the other hand, there is no doubt that it was a super unit that will be engraved in rock history. The full video speaks more eloquently than 100 words about that reality.
