38 SPECIAL in 1986, when the band was approaching its end while sending "STRENGTH IN NUMBERS" to 17th place in the US. Introducing a superb soundboard album that will let you hear the live performance before Don Barnes' departure. This work is engraved with the "Houston performance on October 31, 1986". It is a stereo soundboard recording. Speaking of the "STRENGTH IN NUMBERS Tour", it was just before the founding members Don Barnes and Steve Brookins left. First, let's take a bird's-eye view of the whole picture and explore the position of this work. 1986: April 28th release of "STRENGTH IN NUMBERS" June 15th - August 23rd: US #1 (36 performances) September 9th - November 17th: US #2 (33 performances) ←★Here★ 1987 January 31st: Puerto Rico performance February 9th - 27th: US #3 (6 performances) Don Barnes / Steve Brookins leaves This is the 38 SPECIAL of the "STRENGTH IN NUMBERS" era. There were several performances in 1987, but the main tour ended in 1986. Among them, the Houston performance of this work was the 26th performance of "North America #2" which was approaching the end. This work, which conveys such a show, is a super-excellent product of "completely official grade". In the first place, this show was broadcast on FM at “Westwood One”, but this work is not an air check. It is a pre-FM master unearthed very recently by the prestigious “Krw_co”. It is a master reel that is not even a broadcast master. In fact, the sound that has not been dubbed, let alone radio waves, is super clear and ultra-clear. In the mid-1980s, there was also “NASSAU COLISEUM, UNIONDALE, NEW YORK 1/29/85”, but this work is completely equivalent. If you try to explain it in words, you can only line up beautiful words, and frankly, you can only say “It's completely official, so please listen to it quickly”. Such an official sound depicts a passionate performance that sums up the heyday. Although it is close to the time of “NASSAU COLISEUM, UNIONDALE, NEW YORK 1/29/85”, the tour is different, so the set is different. Let's compare and organize them here. Strength in Numbers (3 songs) Like No Other Night (★) / Somebody Like You (★) / Just A Little Love (★) Classics (11 songs) Rockin' Into The Night: Stone Cold Believer / Rockin' Into The Night Special Forces: Rough-Housin' / Back On The Track (*) / Chain Lightnin' / Caught Up In You Tour de Force: Back Where You Belong / Twentieth Century Fox Others: Teacher, Teacher (★) / Hold On Loosely / Travelin' Band (★) *Note: The "★" mark indicates songs that were not heard on "NASSAU COLISEUM, UNIONDALE, NEW YORK 1/29/85". The "*" mark indicates limited songs that have not been played since this tour. ...And so on. Not only the new songs from "STRENGTH IN NUMBERS", but also "Teacher, Teacher" provided for the movie "Ringo Hakusho" and the cover of CREEDENCE CLEARWATER REVIVAL "Travelin' Band" are delicious. And surprisingly, "Back On The Track" is also valuable. It is a limited song only from the 1980s that was not played even after Don Barnes' return, let alone the time of his departure. Such a soundboard live is full of emotion, but this work is also sprinkled with delicious points unique to radio programs. That is, the advertisements that come in between the live. Budweiser commercials and Dana Steele (personality) also appear, but the important thing is the musicians of that time. At the beginning of the program, "Hello, I'm Greg Lake from EL & POWELL. Let's enjoy "Westwood One Radio Network Work". It's only one word at a time, so it doesn't interfere with the live, but the scent of 1986, the EL & POWELL era, erupts thickly. After that, the voices of Justin Hayward/John Lodge of THE MOODY BLUES, Tom Petty, THE FIXX, and others are inserted. This is a superb soundboard album that should have been officially released. At the same time, it is a radio album that exudes a sense of the era with valuable comments from musicians that are not possible officially. A miraculous pre-FM reel made possible only by the prestigious excavation company "Krw_co". Stereo soundboard recording of "Houston performance on October 31, 1986". A pre-FM master reel excavated by the prestigious "Krw_co", the sound is completely official class. Not only the precious "STRENGTH IN NUMBERS" number, "Teacher, Teacher" and "Travelin' Band", but also Greg Lake, THE MOODY BLUES, and Tom Petty, who are promoted, are interesting. This is a superb soundboard masterpiece that suffocates with the sense of the era just before Don Barnes left. The Summit, Houston, TX, USA 31st October 1986 STEREO SBD Disc:1 (39:45) 1.
