The first Japanese collaboration between "Scorpion + Uri" in 38 years was made possible because both of them appeared in "LOUD PARK 16". The sound that flows out of this work is very similar to the SCORPIONS version, but even more amazing and exquisite. Although the characteristics and nuances are the same, the direct feeling like a rough rope is even more overwhelming. This high sound quality is exceptional among all the bands of LOUD PARK, and even among the LOUD PARK recordings that have been going on for over 10 years. In fact, this work, the main SCORPIONS, and the WHITESNAKE "LOUD PARK 2016" that I introduced the other day were all recorded in the same venue, with the same equipment, and by the same recorder, in the same position. Despite this, there are two possible reasons why the difference occurred. One is the sound output from the band side. The sound settings are done by each band, and the sound output is very different for each band. Although it is clear that death metal is explosive, classic rock also has a clear distinction between good and bad, and it tends to be the case that "you don't know what it sounds like until it starts." Unfortunately, WHITESNAKE had limitations in the sound output on site, even though the recording was of the highest quality. The reason why SCORPIONS and this work sound much better than other bands is largely due to the band's aesthetics of sound. Another factor is the atmosphere on site. Both SCORPIONS and Uri had the best sound on site, but the atmosphere is too different between the middle of a festival where only fans gather and the end where the entire audience rushes in. Even with SCORPIONS, the cheers were so small that they were almost impossible to hear, but when it got farther away, a huge "swell" covered the entire work. It is the source of the spectacle, so it is by no means a flaw, but this work does not even have that, and realizes a fierce sound worthy of being called "like a sound board". To be honest, even the minute noises coming out of the on-site amplifiers between songs are recorded neatly. Now, Uri's show is depicted with its intense high quality. This is also amazing. The picking nuances are so clear that you can feel the angle of the pick, and the delicate vibrato touch is so detailed that you can touch it with your hand. On top of that, the deep bass of the rhythm section shakes the floor of Tama Arena, and the vocals that stretch straight out give off a sense of fantasy. The set list is a condensed version of "SCORPIONS REVISITED" that was also performed at last year's Japan tour, and all the songs are SCORPIONS numbers. However, the biggest difference from last year is the vocals. Nathan James, who was the main last year, has already been fired, and this time Niklas Turman, who also plays side guitar, is the vocalist. He sang on some songs last time, but this time he is dramatically better. If his delicate tone is wonderful, his high-pitched singing is overwhelming. His promotion to the main role was a great decision! He gives us a full singing voice. Even more amazing than that is, of course, the main character Uri himself. SCORPIONS also performed "Catch Your Train" and "We'll Burn The Sky," but as expected, Sennin's version is extraordinarily intense! Unlike SCORPIONS, which for better or worse embodies arena rock, this version is packed with aesthetics in every detail, from the arrangement to the performance, making it an ultra-beautiful and dazzlingly intense version. Moreover, despite the short performance time at the festival, they packed in big songs such as "The Sails Of Charon" and "Fly To The Rainbow," and even performed a sophisticated song with a strong Jimi Hendrix feel like "Sun In My Hand." Their aesthetic sense is as if they don't care about fame or groove. This is a live album where that aesthetic sense is transformed into sound, with sky guitars soaring through the heavens. SCORPIONS in 2016, where their miraculous collaboration drew attention. However, the reason why their joint song "We'll Burn The Sky" was not just a "reenactment of the legend" but a "new legend" is because both Sasoridan and Uri are full of the current sense of being active. With the No. 1 rhythm section of all time, Sasoridan has become an even more rock monster, and Uri has beautifully reborn the 70's number while keeping his own unique aesthetic.
