High-quality audience recording of the Croydon performance on December 3, 1972. With extremely well-balanced sound quality that is stable from beginning to end, you can fully enjoy the finest ensemble. This day was an event where I performed with Medicine Head, Ron Geesin, Ivor Cutler, John Peel, and many more. In May of this year, Karl Jenkins from Nucleus joined Mike Ratledge, Hugh Hopper, and John Marshall to form Soft Machine's "SIX" lineup, but in June, several live shows were canceled due to Marshall's illness. However, there were many live performances from July to mid-November (Brighton Dome performance on October 20th was released as Disc 1 of "SIX", In addition, there are many sound sources for the BBC), studio recordings of "SIX" were made from November 18th to 24th, 27th to December 1st, and December 4th to 5th, and quite energetically. Activities are underway, and this item is a special live performance that took place right in the middle of the "SIX" recording. The set list is basically based on the live sound source of "SIX" (Disc 1) and "BBC In Cocert", but in the live sound source of 1972, The Soft Weed Factor, which has not appeared at all until now. It can be said that being able to listen to (included in the studio take of Disc 2) is irresistible for fans. The special groove of these four people is definitely a must-listen! Anyway, with the addition of Jenkins, who has a diverse musicality that emphasizes scores and ensembles, the entire album has a sophisticated atmosphere that is completely different from the free jazz approach, and the loops that use a lot of repetition of rhythms and phrases. It's hard to believe that it's 72 years old, and there's no doubt that even non-fans will be moved by this turbulent performance. Hopper's bass play, which fully demonstrates his avant-garde sensibilities, explodes! Gesolreut's level of perfection is truly impressive! ! This is a valuable document that allows you to experience the transition from the full-throttle free jazz style of ``Fifth'' to a more minimalistic style. Introducing the ultimate item that is luxuriously packaged with a unique floating psychedelic sound created by four unique people!
