June 18, 2006, Kawasaki performance, 2nd day live completely recorded with the best audience recording. The sound is clear and very close, and the sound quality is recorded at a sound board level with perfect balance. It's a wonderful recording where you can clearly see the detailed playing of all the members. This unit has only been working permanently, and the combination on stage is really solid, and you can hear a convincing, very high-quality performance. Theo Travis, the saxophone player who replaced Elton Dean who passed away in February of this year, will also captivate the audience with his wonderful playing. All of Soft Machine's mid-period masterpieces, which make up the majority of the set, are all worth listening to, and even though the concert is over two hours long, you can listen to it all without getting bored. With Slightly All The Time in the middle, a new song and another song “specially written for Kawasaki” are played, making it a happy take. A truly wonderful live show that will satisfy all progressive rock fans. This is a highly recommended piece.
