From the mid-60s to their breakup in 1970, this is a rare live performance from their golden age before they reunited, recorded on a soundboard from the broadcast master. It was recorded just before the release of "Bridges Over Troubled Water," and after the usual opening song "Mrs. Robinson," Art said, "This is the first time we've ever worked with a band." As the MC said, this tour was not just a two-person concert, but also included the members of the recording session for "Bridges Over Troubled Water" as a backing band. And the highlight is the early version from that album, and the most interesting part is the performance of the phantom work "Cuba Si, Nixon No" that was not included in the album after all. It is a rare number that can only be heard here because it is a satire of Cuba and the United States, whose relationship was still bad even after the Cuban Missile Crisis, so it was probably not included. And "Bridge Over Troubled Water" is wonderful, and the arrangement where the band comes in after Larry Knechtel's piano accompaniment is close to the album, making it a moving moment. 1.
