Finally, finally. "Scorpion + Uri Roth" has been realized in Japan... A live album that captures the miraculous night of LOUD PARK 16 with the best sound is now available! "Scorpion + Uri" has already been talked about in various places. Their first performance in Japan in nine years was a great success, and their hot rock spirit that has not yet faded has overpowered the new generation. Each performance was the best SCORPIONS rock, but the only time they performed with Uri was at "LOUD PARK 16" held at Saitama Super Arena on October 8, 2016. This work is an extremely elegant work that was recorded by the master "Western Japan's Strongest Taper" at the monumental concert. The other day, Mr. "Strongest"'s work "TOKYO 2016 (ZODIAC 208)" was just released, so let's organize it here.・October 6: Zepp DiverCity Tokyo "TOKYO 2016" ・October 8: Saitama Super Arena [This work] ・October 11: Osaka International Convention Center [Better sound than on-site!?: A masterpiece that shines with the work of a master craftsman] The above three performances are all for the 2016 Japan tour. It seems that the true purpose of the "strongest" who traveled to Kanto was not a solo performance but "LOUD PARK 16". The quality of this work, which achieved its "true purpose", is also a wonderful sound. "TOKYO 2016" was a brain-connected sound that took advantage of the narrowness of the 2000-person scale, but this time it's the huge "Saitama Super Arena". As expected, it would be impossible to get good sound... but a detailed clear sound pops out! The extremely thick and straight "TOKYO 2016" is no less, and the "ringing" and "spectacle" of Saitama Super Arena are added to it. Because of this "ringing", it has a slightly different nuance from "just like a sound board", but on the other hand, it also has the beauty of an audience. The deep bass, which tends to be a weakness in audience recordings, is also tremendous, Mickey Dee's drumming is extremely thick and powerful, and Powell Makioda's bass is also rough to each grain. Of course, Rudolf Schenker's cutting is vivid as if it is slamming, and Klaus Meine's singing voice fills the entire venue with power... Speaking of "Mr. Strongest + LOUD PARK 16", WHITESNAKE's "LOUD PARK 2016 (Shades 688)" was also released the other day, but frankly speaking, the sound of this work is incomparable. The main reason for this is the sound output at the scene. "LOUD PARK" is a type of festival where the sound changes greatly depending on the band, ranging from loud death metal to beautiful sounding bands. Unfortunately, WHITESNAKE was the former, but Mr. "Strongest" overcame this with his setting and positioning, and the recording was brought to the point where the experiencer said, "Did it ever sound this good?" In contrast, SCORPIONS was magnificent from the sound output on site. Of course, the addition of Mr. "Strongest"'s setting and positioning techniques to this resulted in an even higher quality sound. The best way to feel the awesomeness of the positioning is the cheers. The superb musical tones roar, but there are almost no cheers! Of course, SCORPIONS is also said to be "the best act of LOUR PARK 16", so the scene was a whirlpool of enthusiasm. You can feel the enthusiasm between songs, but even that is very far and small. Of course, there is absolutely no conversation, screaming, or chanting nearby. The balance between "extremely thick musical tones" and "tens of thousands of small cheers" is also like an official live album. [The first "Scorpion + Uri" in 38 years] The Scorpion show, drawn with that superb sound, is more than enough to prove "the best act of LOUR PARK 16". The awesomeness overlaps with the commentary of "TOKYO 2016", so I will omit it, but I can't help but mention the special of this work. Yes, it's a collaboration with SCORPIONS and Uli Jon Roth. Mr. "Strongest" also included the "three great singers + Michael" at MICHAEL SCHENKER FEST in "OSAKA 2016 (ZODIAC 195)", but this time he also showed his great skills with "Scorpion + Uri". In fact, "Scorpion + Uri" has been realized several times in his long career. It started in 2005 in Colmar (France). The two, who met for the first time in 27 years here, continued to perform together in Wacken in 2006, London in 2007, Essen in 2009, etc. However, they only performed in Europe (probably due to Uli's schedule, which is mainly in Europe), and after that they became estranged again. In the midst of all this, they finally performed together in Japan in 2016. This was the first time they had performed side by side in Japan since their first visit to Japan in 1978, the famous album "TOKYO TAPES". It had been nine years since SCORPIONS had last visited Japan, and the scene that had transcended 38 years had been revived. This "38-year reunion" came during the second encore song, "We'll Burn The Sky." It was a number that was not performed at the solo performance, but was prepared for this day's collaboration. Uli appeared with Klaus' call, "I'll introduce you to a special guest, Uli Jon Roth!", and with his sky guitar in hand, he played an indescribable tone, completely changing the atmosphere at the venue. Klaus begins to sing heartfelt songs on the beautiful arpeggios, and the song explodes with Rudolf's cutting. A world of sound that could only be created by these three people spreads out... But! This is not just a reprint. The Scorpions follow the original faithfully, but the rhythm section's strength is the best ever. And the sky guitar that dances there is the current "SCORPIONS REVISITED" style. Unlike the one-sided "retrospective and reprint" performances that have been held in Europe so far, a beautiful world that is unique to 2016 spreads out powerfully. Uli arrived in Japan on the day of the performance, and it was a situation that could have easily become a mess, but it was a "miracle" that it did not. There was a concentration that confirmed each other's every note, and even the tension of the audience was swallowed up, and a unique atmosphere enveloped the venue... Finally, the collaboration was realized in Japan. It was a "new legend" that went beyond "reproduction of the legend". This is a live album where even the smell of the scene flows out of the speakers. A month and a half after Michael Schenker's miracle, Sasorida performed with Uri. This is also one of the highlights of 2016. Live at Saitama Super Arena, Saitama, Japan 8th October 2016 TRULY PERFECT SOUND(from Original Masters) Disc 1 (50:21) 1. Intro 2. Going Out With A Bang 3.
