RINGO STARR & HIS ALL STARR BAND, who lit up Japan in the fall of 2016, have decided to release a special live set that will rekindle the embers in their hearts. This is the first Japan tour in three years, and they ran through the archipelago with a total of eight performances, but this work was recorded at the Tokyo performance. This is an audience set that includes the "October 30, 2016: NHK Hall performance" and the final day "November 2, 2016: Orchard Hall performance". The other day, we reported on the first report of the Japan performance, "OSAKA 2016 (Uxbridge 610)", but let's check the positions for all the dates, including that one.・October 24th: Osaka Orix Theater "OSAKA 2016" ・October 25th: Aichi Prefectural Arts Theater (1 day off) ・October 27th: Fukuoka Sunpalace ・October 28th: Hiroshima Bunka Gakuen HBG Hall (1 day off) ・October 30th: NHK Hall [This work discs 1 and 2] ・October 31st: Orchard Hall ・November 1st: Orchard Hall ・November 2nd: Orchard Hall [This work discs 3 and 4] The above is an overview of the 10 days and 8 performances. This work is a coupling of the first and last days of the 4-day consecutive performance in Tokyo. It is a 4-disc set with "October 30th" on discs 1 and 2 and "November 2nd" on discs 3 and 4. Both are original sound sources using masters provided by the recording artist himself, and are "the latest report of music" less than a week after the final day. The biggest point of this work is the quality that goes beyond "simply the latest recording". The recent "OSAKA 2016" was also a wonderful recording, but this work even gives a sense of "beauty". Discs 1 and 2 (October 30) were recorded around the 10th row in the center of the first floor, and the sparkling musical tones are incredibly beautiful. Since the seats are close to the stage, there is no muffled or distortion, and Ringo's singing voice reaches straight through the clear atmosphere of the venue. The detailed details are comparable to line recordings, but the slightly wrapped venue acoustics make the "sound" beautiful. All the instruments and all the ranges are beautifully captured, but the mid-to-high tones that control the melody are particularly beautiful. The smooth, crystal clear brilliance further enhances the brilliance of the masterpieces that color rock history. Of course, as far as coupling goes, Discs 3 and 4 (November 2) are not inferior. This was recorded in the front of the second floor seats, and there is no direct connection that can be called "like a sound board". However, instead, there is a warmth that seems to have absorbed the entire Orchard Hall. This might give the impression of a blurry sound with reverberation, but that's not the case. The detailed details are not inferior to discs 1 and 2, and the core of the musical tones is also solid. On top of that, it is a recording that allows you to fully enjoy the beautiful acoustics of the famous venue "Orchard Hall". On top of that, the applause that fills the venue like a rising tide is also beautiful. It would be ruined if the nearby audience made a lot of noise, but there is no need to worry about that with this work. The applause is so neat and detailed that you can almost feel each applause. It's as if a single drop of rain gathers together and becomes the sound of a gentle autumn rain. With such a sound, a number of big hit songs that make your heart boil are drawn. In addition, there is another special on this final day. Marty Friedman, a former member of MEGADETH and now active as a foreign talent, will jump in and participate. He adds a touch of glamour with "With A Little Help From My Friends" and "Give Peace A Chance". The Japan tour this time is completely the same (except for the Nagoya performance where the number of songs was reduced due to Richard Page's poor condition). For that reason, I will omit the details of each show, but the show where Ringo's solo, the Beatles, and even the big hits of Todd Rundgren, SANTANA, TOTO, MR. MISTER, etc. that have decorated the era are played one after another is not "gorgeous" at all. It is a dense moment like a digest of rock history. Moreover, you can enjoy plenty of Beatles' "What Goes On", "You're Sixteen", "Back Off Boogaloo", and even Tito Puente's cover "Oye como va (vocals by Rory)" that you couldn't hear at the Japan tour three years ago. On top of that, the people who are performing are the people who have created super famous songs, including Ringo. It goes beyond the dimension of a mere live album, and it is an excellent show even when listened to as a rock sampler. Anyway, this is the fastest and the best sounding report of the Japan tour. As the recording situation is examined, it is possible that a different recording on a different day will come out. However, by the time that is known, it will be "that time was fun." This is the perfect one to savor the "so much fun!" that has just ended "now." Perhaps you saw it on the second or third day in Tokyo. Or maybe it was Nagoya, Fukuoka, or Hiroshima. Even so, this is a special live set that cannot help but bring back memories. For you who still have the fire in your heart that Ringo lit.
