A secret live album of "DIFFICULT TO CURE TOUR 1981" is to be released. This work contains the "June 11, 1981 Paris performance". AM broadcast sound sources have been known for some time, but this work is a different audience album. First, let's imagine the position from the overview of the tour. "DIFFICULT TO CURE" released in February 1981 February 20th - May 13th: North American leg (47 performances) June 3rd - July 27th: European leg (39 performances) ←★Here★ August 12th - 28th: Japan tour (8 performances) That's a total of 94 performances. This is the full picture of "DIFFICULT TO CURE TOUR 1981". The Paris performance where this work was recorded was the sixth performance of the "European leg" (the 53rd performance overall), and it was a concert just around the halfway point of the tour. This work is a recording that has only recently appeared, and it has a truly magnificent audience sound. The bass is a little solid, and it is not the type that you would call "like a sound board", but on the other hand, the sound that the guitar and vocals reach straight and clear is pleasant. In fact, the original audience recording has some flaws, and overseas enthusiasts have patched it on the existing AM broadcast (from the middle of "Long Live Rock 'N' Roll" to the end), but the original sound is so good that you can hear the sound quality drop when you get to that part. The "DIFFICULT TO CURE TOUR" drawn with such a sound is also very good. The tour is highly regarded as "the best of the Joe Lynn Turner era" in Japan, but the key to it is Joe's singing voice. Joe had many bad days in 1982 and had good and bad days in 1983, but 1981 was full of live performances in great shape. This live performance also gives you plenty of beautiful, glossy and long-lasting voices. On the other hand, Richie on this day was a little strange. At the beginning, he played the riff of "Spotlight Kid" as usual, but for some reason it stopped halfway. It was as if the amp had fallen, but he immediately played the riff again and started again. I don't know what happened, but he was out of tune for a while after that and couldn't concentrate on playing. Maybe there was a real equipment problem. That mood also recovered in the next "Love's No Friend", and he mass-produced a polite but flashy phrase that is typical of 1981. The lingering scent of the masterpiece of the 70s and the pop-shining melody coexisted, Richie's tone was beautiful, Joe was relaxed, and Don Airey's brilliance was complete in the "DIFFICULT TO CURE TOUR". Another famous recording has appeared. A masterpiece of audience recording where the broadcast sound source also fades. Live at Patinoire, Boulogne-Billancourt, France 11th June 1981 Disc 1(49:44) 1.
