Truly shocking! The Copenhagen performance on November 12th, which was praised as one of the most important sound sources during Pink Floyd's 1970 winter European tour, will be revived this weekend as a vivid upper version for the first time in 8 years!! Speaking of Copenhagen sound sources, "BLINDNESS" released in November 2007 remains a representative title. Directly digitized from the very high-quality master tape at the time, it astounded fans as a top-quality sound record that far exceeded the Highland record "COPENHAGEN SEQUENCE (HL 291/292)", which had been a standard until its release, and was the first album released at the time of the label's founding. This title also became the foundation that made Sigma known to the scene. The recorded sound itself was a very good title, so even if you listen to it now, it doesn't sound inferior at all, but there are some periodic deterioration sounds in the first half of "Atom Heart Mother" and a slightly muted sound that occurred in the first three minutes of "Eugene". It is also true that, despite the excellent sound quality, there were some deterioration of the tape, such as a fatal lack of output in the right channel that continued from 1 minute 59 seconds of "Mystery" to the end of the disc. However, ``BLINDNESS (*hereinafter referred to as the previously released edition)'' was a title that focused on the original rawness of such master tapes, so it would be wrong to poke at that fault now. But what if we could repair that damage and restore it to the way it was when it was recorded? What if you could also improve the sound quality? If that comes true, wouldn't it mean that the sound source of the European tour in the winter of 1970, where many great sound sources remain, will suddenly be illuminated with an unexpected lightning-fast shine? ...Yes, this latest work that will be released this weekend is the miracle and amazing upper version title of "Huh? That sound source that was noticeably degraded?!"!!The source used for this disc is It is based on a new tape transfer from the master, and has thoroughly improved the various problems that occurred when playing the previously released version. In other words, the main improvements are the periodic hiss and noise scattering that were caused by the unprocessed image, the speed that was faster or slower in some parts, the slight deviation in localization, and the lack of output on the right channel. The sound image, which has been carefully scrutinized and restored one by one, not only vividly revives the original appearance of the master recorded sound, but also succeeds in bringing out and improving the potential that was originally hidden in high-quality sound. The result is a special finish that invites the listener to a deeper crucible of excitement. This is truly an upgrade, and the true impact of the famous sound source that stunned fans eight years ago will finally be unleashed on the scene this weekend! The amazing sound is truly on a different level. For example, in "Astronomy Domine", the sound has more power and weight than the previous release from the beginning, and everyone will be amazed at the closeness and clarity of the sound. The closeness of the twin vocals is overwhelming, and the faint sound in the middle where the rhythm disappears comes out more clearly than the previous sound, so I wonder how the expression of this day will be assembled three-dimensionally from there. I think you will be able to understand Yuka even more deeply. I think "Fat Old Sun" will take your breath away with the beauty of the sound spreading out in all directions after Gilmore's singing voice enters, and the faint echo of that vocal is more clear than ever. Also pay attention. The high-quality tone of the organ (especially from around 6 minutes 03 seconds) and the powerful fusion of the ensemble are also noteworthy, and the upper sound that stimulates all five senses is sure to thrill your heart. "Cymbaline" has the best special sound ever, with the contrast between the echo of the close-up vocals being sucked into the space leaving a faint reverberation, and the strong attacking performance sound heard in the chorus. The way the cymbals continue to resonate sharply (*Especially noticeable from 3 minutes 46 seconds onwards, the previously released version had extremely light metallic sounds and the sound response was weak) is also noteworthy, as is the footsteps scene in the middle. The way the production and music form an image in people's sensibilities emerges with overwhelming clarity, and you will feel that the original potential of this source is brought out to the fullest. "Atom Shinbo" was noticeably difficult to listen to due to periodic deterioration due to tape deterioration from around 2 minutes 50 seconds to 6 minutes 35 seconds on the previously released version. However, in this work, we have used the latest technology to examine and correct this one note at a time, and have succeeded in restoring it almost completely to its original appearance. As a result, the performance sound has returned to a high level of stability with no unevenness, and I can say that the biggest improvement in Disc 1 is that I can now follow the dazzling changes between the static and moving parts of the song. Sho. Gilmore's falsetto, which starts at 5 minutes and 57 seconds, has a euphoria unique to this day, floating in the tranquil sound of the original recording source, and you can deeply enjoy the radiation of intelligence that comes from deep within the margins of the sound. . It should also be noted that the ensemble that starts to stand out at 11 minutes and 59 seconds is completely different from the closed and subdued sound of the previous release, and has been reborn into a beautiful sound with a clear outline of the sound. “Green Is The Colour” had a wonderful sound on the previous release, but this work is characterized by the closeness of Gilmore’s singing voice. Thanks to the fact that the recorder changed the recording position during the interval, the simple and creative performance shines with pure beauty, resulting in an astonishing sound image that rivals even modern digital recording. The weak sound output of "Eugene" was quite noticeable in the first three minutes of the previously released version, but it has returned to normal in this work, and from the beginning all parts jump out with powerful high-resolution close-up sound. . Although some hiss remains, by reducing the recording speed by 1% during tape transfer, this has been alleviated considerably and has been reborn as a powerful and clear sound. As a result, Roger's monologue (a whisper that can be heard around 1 minute 44 seconds), which was almost indiscernible on the previously released version, can now be clearly heard, and the possibility of this song without clear lyrics was confirmed from the beginning of the performance. I'm sure you'll be able to grab it with a good response. In addition, in ``Taiyo Sanka'', the harmonies with suppressed colors appear in a brighter tone, and you will be moved by the change in expression as the tempo gradually increases while intoning. In the middle of the song, when the drums come out sharper than on previous releases, the floating feeling appears with the highest clarity, and you will be able to fully enjoy the excitement of following the drifting melody up close. In "Mystery", the sound fluctuations that occurred at the beginning of the previous release, 00 minutes 51 seconds to 52 seconds and 1 minute 08 seconds, are gone, and the scattering of sounds that become cloudy in the beginning is now the best clear sound without blurring. I'll come. From around 1 minute 58 seconds to the end of the disc including “The Embryo”, the sound quality changes very slightly as it is supplemented with a different master sound source from the same day, just like the previously released version, but this is also like the previously released version. Rather than an obvious change in sound quality, we have achieved a perfect connection that does not feel strange at all through careful remastering and treatment. Moreover, in the previously released version, the right channel components are almost completely missing from 1 minute 59 seconds of this song until the end of the disc including "The Embryo", resulting in an unbalanced sound image with 80% of the sound coming from the left side only. However, in this work, the localization has returned to normal and the sound is completely fixed in the center, so you can enjoy it until the end of the disc while maintaining the high quality sound quality. Another point to note about this sound source is that all the tuning scenes that occur after the performance of most songs are included uncut. As many people have reminisced about 1971's Hakone Aphrodite and other songs, even in the tuning scenes of Floyd in the 70s, there were many dazzling moments where it seemed like an unreleased new song, and there were many cuts between songs. The absence of this is a topic that cannot be overlooked. Unfortunately, no unreleased songs were played at this performance (*At the Gothenburg performance held the day before this performance, we played "Libest Spacement Monitor", and at the Hamburg performance two days after this performance, we played "Corrosion") However, I would like you to take this opportunity to pay attention to the tuning scenes between songs that remind you of those unreleased songs that can be heard with the finest upper sound. Please enjoy this vivid sound full of upper feeling with your home speakers this weekend.
