A 4-disc set from PFM's legendary first visit to Japan in 1975. First, discs 1 and 2 include a shocking 90-minute high-quality stereo soundboard recording of the Shibuya Public Hall performance on November 23rd. It is no exaggeration to say that PFM's delicate ensemble play, which has outstanding technology and can only be understood through line recording, is a must-listen for all progressive rock fans. It is likely that the 90-minute cassette tape by the people involved is the master, and it includes the opening number Celebration, Mr. 9 Till 5, and the nearly 10-minute violin solo that also features "William Tell Overture". Unfortunately, the following Chocolate Kings and Harlequin have not been collected, but it includes the following bass solo and the Celebration that explodes again at the end of the encore. PFM's 1975 Japan tour was held in Tokyo on November 23rd, Osaka on the 25th, Nagoya on the 28th, and Tokyo again on the 29th, for a total of four performances, and this line recording includes the Tokyo performance on the first day. (This is a recording that was originally released as an Osaka performance, but the MC and performance content are different from "Far East Experience" (Le Matango) which recorded the Osaka performance.) "I am very happy to have a concert in Japan. I would like to thank all the people who helped us again. I was able to meet many friends in the city. Thank you very much to all the beautiful people," Mauro said in his somewhat halting English. The dramatic performance of the masterpiece Four Holes In The Ground that follows will bring tears to the eyes of all progressive rock fans. The ensemble is extremely sharp and precise, which is unusual for this era, and is a masterpiece and moving. You can enjoy Franco's guitar playing in Paper Charms and the subsequent unison playing with very clear sounds. The electric piano in the intro of Dove...Quando can also be heard with a stunningly beautiful tone. There are some hissing noise issues in quiet parts and some parts that make you feel the tape has aged over time, so it is by no means a perfect sound image, but overall, both the instruments and vocals are recorded with a thick, vivid sound that is full of directness, and it is very satisfying to listen to. In addition, with moderate sound quality correction, you can enjoy it in the best quality at the moment. In addition, discs 3 and 4 include a complete recording of the November 29th Nakano Sun Plaza performance with high-quality audience recording. The same sound source recorded in "Tokyo 1975 Finale," which is considered the highest quality record of the day, was recorded directly from the master cassette. Although there is hissing noise unique to analog tape, the freshness of the sound has increased dramatically, and you can hear punch, separation, treble and bass with a power that exceeds the previous release. Although there is a tape change cut at 6:41 in the middle of the drum solo, from the opening announcement in Japanese to the frenzied encore, it is recorded for about 2 hours with the highest level of audience recording full of realism, which in a sense exceeds line recording. This album also includes the Chocolate Kings and Harlequin, which are the highlights of the second half of the album, allowing you to enjoy the entire concert almost perfectly. In addition, the precious audio from the appearance on the music TV program "Pops In Picture" at the time, which was also included in the previously released version, is also included. The MC's playfulness is a little surprising, but the interview takes of the members in Japan at that time are very rare, making it a delight for enthusiasts. The definitive version of PFM's first tour of Japan in 1975 is now available on a 4-CD set.
