The band's 10th album, Long Distance Voyager, released in 1981, was produced by former Yes member Patrick Moraz, who joined the band after Michael Pinder left, and reached number one on the US Billboard charts. The singles Gemini Dream and The Voice from the album were also big hits, and the band's North American tour was a huge success both commercially and artistically. This is a 2-hour, high-quality audience recording of the July 15th performance in Providence, which was a complete recording from the North American tour held during the period of the band's commercial and artistic success. As a promotional tour for the hit album, all songs except In My World are performed live. The set, which effectively distributes new and old numbers, has a good tempo and every part is worth listening to. The sense of realism that is characteristic of a large venue can be felt, but the highly advanced microphone captures the entire show from start to finish with a stable sound image. The band's performance of the band's big-scale setup is overwhelming, and you can enjoy a show that is worth listening to. Moraz also reproduces Michael's Mellotron well in the old numbers, and you can hear his playing as expected in various places. Moraz supported the band with a wonderful performance in the previous "Octave" tour, but in this tour, he finally shows off his magnificent keyboard ensemble in various places, and the spacey sound that blends well with the band will greatly satisfy the listeners. As mentioned above, the set is unique to this time, like the 1981 tour, and the suite "Painted Smile ~ Refective Smile ~ Veteran Cosmic Rocker" recorded at the end of the album is also played dramatically in the middle of the show. The closing part of the show, which continues with the last Nights In White Satin, Legend Of A Mind, Question, and Ride My See-Saw, is also a masterpiece. The sound quality and content are the best, and this is a highly recommended album that will surely become one of the representative albums of the 1981 North American tour.
