An unparalleled live album with an extraordinary sound is now available on CD. This work is recorded at the "July 24, 2001: Osaka Welfare Pension Hall" performance. This is an audience album from when they came to Japan with "THE WORLD NEEDS A HERO". Some of you may be thinking, "The audience of THE WORLD NEEDS A HERO...", but wait a minute! This work is certainly not a golden age, nor is it a leaked sound board. However, that doesn't mean we wouldn't release it if it was trash. Especially since we're pressing it, the contents of this work are special... or should I say, abnormal. Looking over the entire history of MEGADETH, this is an unparalleled intense board. To be honest, it's a sound world that I've never experienced before, even if I've dealt with countless bands/recordings. It's difficult to put into words because it's an unprecedented feeling, but please bear with me for now... [Unprecedented three-dimensional sound] First of all, what's amazing is the sound. This work is the work of a master who was touted as the best in Osaka in the 1990s. The works of this recordist are all of extraordinary quality, and our store has received rave reviews for masterpieces such as KANSAS's "OSAKA 2001", RAINBOW's "OSAKA 1995 1ST NIGHT", and AC/DC's "OSAKA 2001". The quality of this work is also worthy of its reputation...or rather, it is a transcendent sound that raises it even further. It is a very close type that can be called "like a sound board", but it may be misleading to say so. In fact, the direct feeling of this work exceeds even the sound board. The guitar is particularly fierce. Not only does it erase the presence of the audience and have a direct connection as if plugged into the brain, but the extremely thick guitar flies through the air in three dimensions. You may hear the voice saying, "I don't know what kind of sound it is!", but this is the main reason for pressing this work and the most difficult point to introduce it. I'll take another challenge. For example, the change in the mix. It's a little late to say this, but in live performances, the soundman changes the balance of the instruments in real time. When the song comes in, the guitar gets smaller, when it's a solo, it gets bigger, and even when the two instruments exchange, they raise and lower the volume in detail. Even the moment of this change is super vivid. The first note of the solo is unexpectedly too loud, so it is immediately lowered a little, or the timing of the pan is slightly off... Please don't misunderstand, the soundman at this show is not stupid. This is something that happens naturally in any band's live performance, and in this work, he brilliantly directs the songs of MEGADETH, where the main character changes in a complex way. What I want to say here is that "you can understand the extremely detailed parts that cannot be distinguished in ordinary live recordings." The super real, direct, and fierce sound goes round and round in your head... To be honest, I know that it is an audience recording because I have the original DAT from someone who knows the recorder himself, but the sound that flows out is far from the common sense of audience recording. An extraordinary sound world unfolds that can no longer be discussed in terms of "line or not". [Authentic MEGADETH's awesomeness] I've gone into detail trying to convey the feeling of my first experience, but the reason why such a fierce sound is so vivid is because the main character of this work is MEGADETH. It is intellectual thrash metal featuring guitar battles that literally grab you, and because it unfolds with ferocious momentum, the three-dimensional guitar becomes dizzyingly three-dimensional. And it's also delicious that the owner of the guitar is the rare Al Pitrelli. To be honest, metal fans only know him as "former SAVATAGE", and he may not have made much of an impression on them because MEGADETH was in a transitional period. However, his ability is real. A bad guitarist would not be able to stay in MEGADETH, but he is one of the best. He has played in many prestigious bands such as DANGER DANGER, ALICE COOPER BAND, and ASIA, and has done countless session work. He gives us plenty of guitar work backed by a wide range of solid musical knowledge. In fact, Chris Poland and Jeff Young are skilled, but they cannot be said to be world-famous guitarists, and most of the guitarists since Marty Friedman are ``metal guys.'' Of course, that's a good thing, but Al is the only one who can handle any kind of music and has the ability to survive in the industry with just his skills. This is a live album that will screw his precise and authentic guitar work into your brain. And sitting on the drum stool is the veteran warrior Jimmy DeGrasso. He is also a drummer of a different dimension from the narrow ``do-metal''. He is underrated because he only participated in the not so popular albums such as "RISK" and "THE WORLD NEEDS A HERO", but he is the best rock drummer of all time. Despite the complex MEGADETH songs, he gives a sense of groove that is not just momentum, and he does not loosen even in the intense parts. This work also depicts his exquisite stick work in great detail. In any case, it is a tremendous sound that is not only "soundboard class" but "exceeds the soundboard". Perhaps we should have introduced the best versions of "Time: The Beginning", "Use The Man", "The Conjuring", and "Moto Psycho", which cannot be heard in the official work "RUDE AWAKENING". However, the sound itself is so amazing that you forget even that, and it is full of a sense of another dimension. Even in the history of MEGADETH, which has a lot of member changes, the Pitrelli & DeGrasso era had authentic all-genre talented people. In fact, the true value of this work may be conveyed to music fans who love rock music widely, rather than MEGADETH fans or core metalheads. I want as many people as possible to understand it... It is a masterpiece of a live album that is unique in that it depicts truly skilled performances with a different dimension sound, rather than a flashy character push.
