From the acoustic live performance after the release of "M.S.G.", the last album as the Macquarie Schenker Group, the show in Frankfurt, Germany on November 4, 1991 is released in the best version ever with high quality pro shot video and original menu that exceeds the previous release. The pro shot of this Frankfurt performance is a familiar video from before, and the sound source version is also recorded on Disc 4 of "SEQUENCE OF EVENTS" released at the same time this week, but this work is a remastered version with better image quality and sound quality than ever before, and you can enjoy the acoustic sound of Michael, Robin, and Spencer Sercom in the best possible form. Even for enthusiastic fans who feel that "the sound source version is easy and good, but somehow a little unsatisfying", you can enjoy the special live to your heart's content with this work! All the songs featured in the 35-minute recording are by the Macquarie Schenker Group, and the official mini-album "NIGHTMARE - THE ACOUSTIC M.S.G." is reproduced live in perfect form. Although "M.S.G." had not yet been released at this point, Michael's beautiful melodies, backed by his solid technique and high expressiveness, give a fresh shine to the songs with Robin, who was originally known for his wet melodies, and the audience welcomes the unknown new songs with the same positivity as if they were listening to past masterpieces. The warm and pure sound and the honest performance are sure to move the audience as much as the audience at the venue. Even though the guitar in hand has changed, there is no change in Michael's playing, such as "We Believe In Love" with its catchy solo in the middle and the subsequent key change, and "Bad Boys" which does not lose its sharpness even with its acoustic sound. Of course Michael is great when he rocks hard, but perhaps it is his sincerity and stoicism as seen here that really captures the essence of Michael. Robin's singing, which is often said to be "love it or hate it," works in a good way in this relaxed unplugged live performance, and the catchy melodies of "Anytime" and "When I'm Gone" are enjoyable to listen to. The original name "McCauley Schenker Group" was supposed to be an equal combination of Michael and Robin, but it was always Michael who was in the spotlight. It can be said that this acoustic project was the first time that the two of them realized an equal combination in both name and reality. The excellent performance of "Never Ending Nightmare" at the end clearly proves this fact. At that time, under the influence of MTV Unplugged, acoustic sounds were becoming a boom in the rock scene. Among the sounds that the boom produced were variously unique, but the music presented by Michael and Robin can be said to be one of the success stories. Please enjoy this superb album with a superb performance that is on par with the official releases, and a brushed-up sound and video.
