The complete video version of the official live album "LIVE IN HOLLYWOOD" has evolved to the ultimate level! The latest master, which is a hot topic, will be released on DVD as an emergency decision. This work was filmed on April 24, 1980. It is a multi-camera professional shot recorded at the "Television Center Studio" in Hollywood. Speaking of the "MAD LOVE" era, the visit to Japan for "THE CALIFORNIA LIVE" in 1981 is also a memorable one. In order to look back on the situation at that time, let's first take a look at the overview of their activities. 1980 {February 18th release of "MAD LOVE"} March 22nd-May 6th: US #1 (31 performances) ←★Here★ September 12th: Atlanta performance October 8th-November 27th: US #2 (16 performances) December 20th: New York performance 1981 July 21st-29th: US #3 (8 performances) {August "GET CLOSER" production begins} September 11th-13th: Japan (2 performances) This is Linda Ronstadt in 1980/1981. The Japan tour was when production of the next album "GET CLOSER" began, but this work was about a year and a half ago. It was the 25th performance of "US #1". This show was recorded and broadcast as a special program on the American TV station HBO at the time. It was thought that the master had been lost for a long time, but it was unearthed in recent years. In 2019, it was made official as the live album "LIVE IN HOLLYWOOD", and its complete deluxe edition was just released on the 25th of last month. And this work is the video version. It is not a conventional TV broadcast master, but a digitally remastered version of the highest peak update that was just distributed from the official channel the other day. It is a hot topic at this very moment, but the beauty of the image is truly the ultimate. Noiseless complete version masters have been circulating until now, but the vividness of the color, details, and fineness are different. For example, Linda's red costume. Until now, it had faded to magenta, but this time, a vivid crimson has been revived. Of course, this is just one example, and the skin that had lost its color like a sick person shines glossily, and the hair that was tied up in a short style is clear down to each and every hair. The beauty is thorough to the back members, the stage set, and each and every expression of the audience. Of course, the sound is the same stereo sound board as the official live album. The instruments and lighting are reminiscent of the 1980s, but the visual beauty itself is as beautiful as if it were taking place in 2024. This ultimate quality is literally "LIVE IN HOLLYWOOD seen with the eyes". The deluxe edition of the live album released the other day featured a complete version, but this work is also a complete version with 20 songs. Not only has it been increased from the previous "LIVE IN HOLLYWOOD", but it has a much larger number of songs than "THE CALIFORNIA LIVE" visit to Japan. Finally, let's organize the set while comparing it with both. 80's (7 songs)・Love is Hard: I Can't Let Go/Party Girl (★)/Look Out for My Love (★*)/Mad Love (★)/Cost of Love (★*)/Hurt So Bad/How Do I Make You・Get Closer: Lies (★*)70's (12 songs)・You're Bad: Willin'/I Can't Help It (If I'm Still in Love With You) (★)/Faithless Love/You're No Good・I Only Have One Dream: It's So Easy/Blue Bayou/Poor Poor Pitiful Me・Other: Just One Look (*)/Silver Threads and Golden Needles (★*)/Back In The U.S.A./Heat Wave (★*)/Desperado *Note: Songs marked with "★" were not included in the live album (2019 CD version). Songs marked with "*" were not included in "YOKOHAMA STADIUM 1981". ... and so on. The original recording of the Japan tour, "THE CALIFORNIA LIVE: YOKOHAMA STADIUM 1981," has become a standard, but it includes all the songs heard there, and six more songs have been added. Of course, it is eight more songs than the 2019 version of "LIVE IN HOLLYWOOD." The deluxe version of "LIVE IN HOLLYWOOD" has not been released physically, but is only available for distribution/streaming. The video version is also only available for distribution. However, since it is such a work, I would definitely like to have it at hand. A DVD version that responds to the instincts of such collectors. A multi-camera pro shot that is the complete video version of the official live album "LIVE IN HOLLYWOOD" has been released. It is a digitally remastered version that was recently distributed on the official channel, and it is an absolute video that has been sublimated to the ultimate quality.
