This is the longest and highest quality version of the first day of the Montreux performance on August 7th, the famous sound source of 1971 ZEP, which has produced many previously released records. This is the definitive version of the performance that appeared via the Internet last fall. You can enjoy Plant's best performance, which is said to be his best performance, throughout the entire performance. The intro is longer than the previous release, and Since I've Been Loving You is also included from the beginning. As with the previous releases, there is tape deterioration from 6:20 to 6:40 in Stairway To Heaven, some instability around 8:14, and obvious tape deterioration can be confirmed in part of Celebration Day. In the production comment of the foreign collector who uploaded it, it says, "Anyway, it is a better transer from the best take with little hiss noise. No equalization or noise reduction was applied. The left and right balance was adjusted, and a speed collection from Going To California to Whole Lotta Love, which had a pitch error, was performed, and many problems such as click-pop noise were improved. The missing Immigrant Song has also been compensated for. This is the best quality, most complete version of this show available to date. (The longest and best quality recording among those currently in existence.)" It is written, but you can enjoy the best version of Gene Waka, which is as fresh as the sentence says. Because the title was so well made, we dared to avoid unnecessary equalization processing, but the pitch was slightly higher overall, so it was accurately corrected throughout the whole story, and therefore the disc unit is 20 to 30 seconds longer than the original sound. As you know, it can be said to be one of the best audience recordings in 1971, so fans of any level can enjoy it to the fullest. This is a must-have title for all fans. (Please check the "Live File" text below for the contents of the concert.) Montreux performance on August 7th. Robert Plant's vocals are amazing, and "Black Dog" is also impressive, but Jimmy Page's guitar solo, which seems to be exploring new challenges, is also worth noting. There is also a rare performance recorded in which Robert Plant roars at the transition to the guitar solo in "Stairway To Heaven". It seems that "Celebration Day" is played on a double neck SG, sandwiched between two songs from the acoustic set. In Copenhagen in May of the same year, it was improvised in the middle of "Communication Breakdown", but it is the oldest live take of it being performed in a proper form. Jimmy Page makes a mistake in the timing of the chorus, probably because he is not used to playing, but Robert Plant is trying to get into the chorus melody properly. When Robert Plant begins singing "Ramble On" after a long improvisation of "That's Alright Mama" included in the "Whole Lotta Love Medley," it is thrilling to see him wondering "Now, where should I go?"
