This is a complete recording of the San Francisco performance on December 13th from the US tour accompanying the release of "Crest of a Nerve" in 1987, using stereo soundboard recordings from the radio on-air master. First of all, it should be noted that Don Airey, familiar from Rainbow and Purple, joined the band at that time, and Don's colorful keyboards, familiar to heavy metal fans, added color to the songs. And from the same album, they performed numbers such as "Steel Monkey", "Farm on the Freeway", "Budapest", and "Jump Start", as well as representative songs from their early and mid-period. After the epic song "Buda Best," there is a 10-minute instrumental number including a drum solo, and then a baroque classical intro that leads into a dramatic progressive-style solo with Don's keyboard exploding. This is a must-listen live performance from Tull, who had received mixed reviews for winning the Grammy Award for Best Heavy Metal Group at this time, but who stuck to their own unique style at their own pace.
