From the now legendary 1978 Japan tour accompanied by Stanley Clarke, the live performance at Kurashiki Civic Hall in Okayama on November 23rd, the third day, was recorded directly from the original master audience source. Among the recordings of each performance, which remain related to this Japanese performance, this Okayama performance, which has hardly been distributed until now, was recorded directly from a valuable recording that Taper recently released online, and the quality was A-rank for that time, and the balance between Jeff's guitar and Stanley's bass in the latter half was amazing. As for the set contents, two members were changed at short notice before the start of this tour, so the set list was not yet solidified for the first three performances out of the total 10 performances, and especially "Hot Rock" was changed to "Cat Moves" in Tokyo and other places, so this is a valuable live take that can only be heard here. Also, the opening song "Darkness" started with a sound that was obviously different from the others because Beck had not yet mastered the guitar synth, and then the engine was at full throttle from around "Freeway Jam". And above all, for Japanese fans who were seeing Stanley play for the first time, the audience was amazed by the incredible playing of "School Days", which started with a powerful bass solo. After that, the super-patrol "Lopsy Lu" was followed by Simon's drum solo in the second half of "Scatterbrain", and from "Diamond Dust" with its beautiful guitar tone, to Stanley's "Rock'n Roll Jelly". And the last encore song "Blue Wind" had some mistones, but it showed off a tremendous development and the audience's excitement reached its climax. As a fan, you should check out all of these performances in Japan, it's a must-listen item. DISC 1 : 01. Darkness / Earth In Search Of A Sun/02. Star Cycle/03. Freeway Jam/04. Hot Rock/05.
