From the second North American tour of 1980, the annual Halloween concert at the New York Palladium on October 31st was recorded in full, with audience and soundboard sources, for the longest time ever, at 2 hours and 5 minutes. First of all, this live show had a soundboard source after the middle part of the show, "Keep It Greasey", and some of it was used in the official recording, but this time a high-quality audience source of the first half of the show was unearthed, and it was almost a perfect reproduction. And since they had finished recording "You Are What You Is" before this tour, there are plenty of vocal numbers unique to this period. And be sure to check out Vai's versatile playing and Colaiuta's powerful playing, whose drumming on this day was in top form and put Bozzio to shame. And the best part of the album is the guitar of Vai, who was Zappa's right hand man and covered the original percussion part with his superb playing. Especially in the battle with Zappa, he showed off colorful solos with his powerful arm technique.
