This luxurious 4-disc set contains two performances recorded with high-quality audience recordings from the summer North American tour accompanying the release of "Works" in 1977. The band performed with a large orchestra during the first half of the tour and at three performances at MSG in New York, which caused a sensational buzz, but the two performances recorded on this set are both performed by the three without an orchestra. They have already performed a considerable number of live shows without an orchestra, and you can enjoy the solid, refined trio performance that overwhelms the listener on a grand scale without relying on an orchestra, in ultra-high quality at each live show. Discs 1 and 2 are from the Providence performance on June 14th. This is the finest recording by Dan Lampinski, which was previously released by Amity under the title "FANFARE FOR PROVIDENCE". This is an ELP recording from the Lampinski collection, which in 2009 released many famous recordings via the Internet and stunned fans around the world. The entire show is recorded with a quality that is unimaginable from the recording techniques of the time. If you listen normally, it is recorded with an unbelievable level of ultra-clear sound that you would mistake for a broadcast source, and you can enjoy a wonderful performance with a neat and highly controlled performance that has been cleanly scaled up from the violent performance of the early 1970s. Emerson's play, which makes full use of the unique tone of the cutting-edge Yamaha GX-1 at the time and features high-quality keyboard playing, is a perfect listening experience for every song. You can enjoy a number of great performances that give you a deep musical satisfaction in every song, including Hoedown, Tarkus, Take A Pebble which incorporates a piano concerto, the thrilling Tank, and the last Pirates and Fanfare, where you can experience the spectacular excitement with the highest sound quality. The tape change cuts are at the end of Knife Edge, the beginning of Promenade, 9:06 of Pirates, and the beginning of Fanfare. Pirates is a speedy and exciting part, so it's a shame that this part was not included. The performance itself is in the groove, and Fanfare, which incorporates this and Rondo in the latter half, is a truly spectacular performance. This is the highest quality version of the Works tour, which gives a different musical peak from the early days. Instead, discs 3 and 4 are recorded from the San Bernardino performance in California on August 13, 1977. This is a superb sound quality board released under the title "EVIL WORKS" by the now defunct progressive rock label "Windmill". You might think, "No matter how good it is, isn't coupling with the Lampinski sound source a heavy burden?", but the closeness and directness of the sound are recorded with a perfect sound that is even more than that, and it will blow the listener away. The only drawback of this sound source is the trouble in the first half of Fanfare For The Common Man, which has been almost perfectly corrected by replacing it with another sound source so that you can listen to it all at once without stress. In any case, the perfection of the sound in ELP's live performances during this period has reached its peak, and you can enjoy the stunningly high-quality performances with a sustained sense of tension from start to finish in both performances with the highest grade sound of the tour.
