The "DREAM EVIL TOUR 1987-1988" marked the end of the golden age and was said to be "the biggest show in DIO history". The definitive edition that covers the professional shots in the highest quality has been decided to be released. Early DIO left behind video works for each tour, and our shop has introduced the highest quality editions in history on DVD. "LIVE '83" from "HOLY DIVER TOUR", "A SPECIAL FROM THE SPECTRUM" from "THE LAST IN LINE TOUR", and "SUPER ROCK '85 IN JAPAN" from "SACRED HEART TOUR". However, there is no official work for the next "DREAM EVIL TOUR". By that time, they had released a lot of live videos and were tired of them, but despite it being "the biggest show in DIO history", the whole picture is still unknown. This is a collection of videos to eliminate such frustration. This is a film that covers all the best existing masters of the "DREAM EVIL TOUR" and allows you to soak in it for over 90 minutes. There are three professional shots included in this work: "August 26, 1987 Reggio Emilia performance", "October 4, 1987 JAPAN AID 2", and "February 5, 1988 San Antonio performance". Let's take a closer look at each one. [August 26, 1987 Reggio Emilia performance] First up are the nine classic professional shots that are said to be the longest and best of the "DREAM EVIL TOUR". The length itself is great, but the quality is also great. Although the slightly blurred screen cannot be called "official class", the color development is beautiful and the freshness without tape deterioration is wonderful. It is the highest peak of visual beauty among existing masters. Along with its length and quality, the set list is particularly noteworthy. The lineup for this tour is the same as the second half of the "SACRED HEART TOUR", so the key point is the repertoire of the masterpiece "DREAM EVIL". This pro shot allows you to witness four songs: "Naked In The Rain", "Dream Evil", "All The Fools Sailed Away", and "Sunset Superman". The catchy melodies and singalongs of the studio version are stretched for live performances, and they move vividly. Although it is a little different from the dramaticism of the Vivian Campbell era, it is a live version of "DREAM EVIL" that is "very DIO". [JAPAN AID 2, October 4, 1987] Next is the pro shot of "JAPAN AID 2", which will be his third visit to Japan. Although it is a short four songs, the quality is the best of the three types of footage. It is also the best pro shot of the "DREAM EVIL TOUR". The rare number "Stars" is particularly pleasing in its quality. Unlike the studio version, which featured a large number of star musicians, this is DIO alone. This is the regular band version, with only Ronnie singing and Craig playing the guitar solo. However, because it is the regular style, the quality of the song shines, and Craig's tight solo is also suitable for live performances (by the way, he also participated in the studio version). This is a valuable video where you can experience rare masterpieces that have not been performed many times with the best professional shots. Another noteworthy song is "Neon Knights". It is a familiar BLACK SABBATH masterpiece, but it was hardly played during the Vivienne era, and was included in the set as part of the "DREAM EVIL TOUR". The best thing about it is Craig's guitar work, which is speedy, melodic, and has a sharp solo. It's nothing like Iommi, but this is ferociously cool, and the rapid-fire guitar is comfortable. Vinnie Appice also hits the vivid fills as if it were his old trick. In fact, rock masterpieces are often enjoyed when performed faithfully to the original, but the spirit of dyeing them in your own way is also beautiful. This performance is a masterpiece in which the spirit and aesthetics elevate the masterpiece to another dimension. [February 5, 1988 San Antonio performance] Finally, the rarest footage in this work. This is a pro shot broadcast on MTV's "HEADBANGERS BALL". You can watch four pro shot live songs with Ronnie's interview (by the way, this live's "Stand Up & Shout" was also made into a live clip). Three songs have been available for a while, but this work is the complete version of the broadcast, including "We Rock". This is another pro shot of great quality, but the guitar solo in "Naked In The Rain" is a must-see. In "SACRED HEART TOUR", Ronnie fought a dragon, but here Craig fights a mecha spider. A laser is fired from the guitar and a spider in the sky is shot down... A famous scene that could only be seen in magazine photos at the time can be witnessed with a multi-camera pro shot. A famous scene that is on par with such a guitar solo is the drum solo just before "We Rock". Like MOTLEY CRUE, a huge drum kit rises up, and a solo explodes with flashy lighting and pyro. Although it can only be confirmed for a few tens of seconds in this work, it is still a rare scene that shows why this tour is "the largest in DIO history". "DREAM EVIL TOUR" is often overlooked because there is no full-scale long professional shot. It is a definitive collection of pro shots that allows you to enjoy the scene with multi-camera. It is a wonderful collection as well as a great one to witness the last brilliance of DIO's golden age. It is a masterpiece that you should enjoy alongside "LIVE '83", "A SPECIAL FROM THE SPECTRUM", and "SUPER ROCK '85 IN JAPAN".
