The news of David Bowie's death on January 10, 2016 at the age of 69 came as shocking news not only to music fans around the world, but also to all aspects of the world, including the arts. And from Bowie's legendary 1978 "STAGE" Japan tour, the final 2 Tokyo performances of the 5 performances have been digitally remastered into audience masters with amazing quality for audience recordings at the time. Both are complete recordings in the best quality. First of all, discs 1 & 2 are the Budokan performance on December 11th, featuring Adrian Belew, who will later join Crimson, Carlos Alomar, who supports with his wonderful backing play, and Roger Powell, formerly of Utopia, who graces the stage with his original tone. And the powerful beats produced by the strongest rhythm section of funky George Murray and Dennis Davis are absolutely perfect, starting with the fantastic "Warsaw", "Heroes", and the last encore "Rebel Rebel". All 22 songs are a must-listen. Disc 3 & 4's final performance was on December 12th at NHK Hall.As is well known, this day's live performance is known as the 1-hour digest live video of the "NHK Young Music Show". The performance familiar to fans is completely reproduced uncut with the quality unique to the master sound of the original cassette.
