From David Bowie's 1972 tour, two concerts at the Rainbow Theatre in London will be released under the title of coupling. Speaking of 1972, the Santa Monica performance was famous from the analog era, and perhaps due to the image of the movie of the final performance in 1973, the set list of the Ziggy era live shows is generally starting with "HANG ON TO YOURSELF" and ending with "ROCK 'N ROLL SUICIDE", but it seems that various trial and error was done in the early stages of the tour. One of them, the concert on August 20, 1972, recorded in this work, has a rare pattern in which the opening starts with "LADY STARDUST". Although the intention of bringing this song, which starts quietly with a piano, to the top is unknown, it can be said to be a very rare set. What's even more interesting is that in the middle part of "STARMAN", "SOMEWHERE OVER THE RAINBOW" is suddenly inserted. Originally, I thought the melody of "Starman♪" was a rip-off of "Somewhere Over the Rainbow," but this arrangement seems like he himself came out and said it. The second half of the album features a Christmas Eve concert on December 24, 1972, which was four months after the first half, so the set list has changed slightly, and the first song is a cover of the Stones song "LET'S SPEND THE NIGHT TOGETHER," which is also rare. The album ends with the classic "ROCK 'N' ROLL SUICIDE," following the royal road pattern. The third album is a rare live performance from Ziggy's time, coupling two performances at the Rainbow Theater four months apart. The first half is from August 20, not the usual August 19.
