The second day of Crosby, Stills & Nash's live performance at the Tokyo Forum, which was the topic of their first visit to Japan in 20 years, was recorded with the best sound quality. It is surprising that so much time has passed since their last visit in 1995, but I'm sure there were many people who were excited by their return to Japan, a symbol of the Woodstock generation. Moreover, the Tokyo Forum did not exist at the time of their last visit to Japan. However, if you have seen their visit this time, you must have thought that there is no venue more suitable for CSN than this venue. It is not too big, not too small, and has a good balance, and above all, it is a place characterized by warm acoustics, so it is even more so. It was the first CSN live performance in a long time at such a venue, but the wonderful audience recording that our shop was able to obtain exclusively for this release was amazing! Let's say that this is the "ideal" balance and "perfect" sound quality. The warm acoustics unique to the forum and the harmonious sound of CSN were captured with amazing clarity. The secret is the perfect position, recording from the 10th row on the first floor, almost in the center. In such a large venue, recording from the front row is not necessarily the best. Rather, the exquisite clarity is achieved because the recording was made from this position. The sound quality is a good blend of realism and on-sound pressure. We can assure you that the exceptional high sound quality can be felt just by the start of the intro to the first song, "Carry On"! Both of CSN's previous two visits to Japan were acoustic arrangements of only three people, but this time, in addition to their first visit in 20 years, they also came to Japan with a full band for the first time, which became a hot topic among fans. "Carry On" is a song that can only be played by a band, and I think many people were moved just by being able to hear this song live. This is followed by "Chicago". On the first day of the Forum, the song "Military Madness" also sung by Nash was played in this position, but I think it was a great decision to change it to the more popular "Chicago" considering the reaction of the Japanese audience. If "Long Time Gone" followed, and it was performed with a band, it would be a reproduction of the live album "4 WAY STREET"? I was so moved that I could not help but cry. The basic set list for this Japan tour follows last year's US tour. The famous song "Bluebird" from Stills' Buffalo Springfield days was performed in a CSN version. However, for this visit to Japan, the classic song "Marrakesh Express" was also set, and the composition has been expanded to include more famous songs, which will surely make even fans in the US envious. It's such an upgrade. "Almost Cut My Hair" was also performed with a hard-hitting full band, but the fierceness of the guitar battle between Stills and supporter Shane Fontaine was captured so realistically that it was overwhelmingly powerful enough to make you shiver. On the other hand, the powerful singing of Crosby and Nash's new songs performed in the second half of the live show is full of persuasive power that shows that they are still active even after turning 70. And the day before, Jackson Browne, who was also visiting Japan, jumped in and performed a surprise song called "The Crow On The Cradle" together, which became a hot topic, but the excitement of the whole live was clearly higher on the second day, which will be released this time. This is obvious when you listen to the encore song "Teach Your Children", and yet the excitement around you does not hit your ears, and you are impressed by the recording state where CSN's singing voice can be heard with an overwhelming balance. In that case, it is definitely a must-listen not only for those who went to the Japan tour this time, but also for those who did not go. A superb sound source of real audience recording that reproduces the current CSN live performance will be released!
