There are only nine shows left until the breakup of the heavyweight BLACK SABBATH. The countdown is finally approaching. The latest and final live album from their US tour has been released. The breakup tour "THE END" began in January of this year. We have always reported on concerts around the world with live albums, but those days are coming to an end. Recently, we have had some time off between legs, so let's start by looking back at the journey of "THE END" so far.・January-March 2016: North America #1 (18 performances) ・April 2016: Oceania (7 performances) ・June-July 2016: Europe (17 performances) ・August-September 2016: North America #2 (19 performances) ・November-December 2016: North America #3 & South America (11 performances) →★Now here★← ・January-February 2017: Germany + UK (9 performances)《BLACK SABBATH disbands》 The above 81 performances are the full picture of “THE END”. The “South America” schedule ended last week, and only 9 performances remain in Germany and the home country of the UK. Currently, enthusiasts around the world are busy summarizing the recordings of “South America” and “North America #3”, and this work is the first report and is listed as the top representative work candidate. This is the audience album of the "San Antonio performance on November 12, 2016". This day is the final day of "North America #3", which means that BLACK SABBATH's last American performance. Since 1970, 46 years ago, BLACK SABBATH has performed in the United States more than 800 times, more than twice as many as their home country, the UK. This is a live album that contains the last live performance in a country where they have performed more than anywhere else in the world. The quality of this memorial work is truly wonderful audience sound. Since "THE END" is known for its rare "sound source abnormality" in recent years, it cannot be called "Tour No. 1", but if it is a band around there, it is a masterpiece recording of a dimension that can be a masterpiece without complaint. The extremely thick musical tones that overwhelm the audience noise while still having a vivid on-site feeling roar, and the cheers with a three-dimensional feel even with a small balance clearly tell the hugeness of the venue. Even though it is the latest recording, the sound has a vintage feel to it, which suits the pitch-black SABBATH world well, and yet the details unique to the latest recording also emerge. It's like a live album like a 70's radio broadcast. The last US performance of BLACK SABBATH depicted in that sound is heavy as if crushing the memorial sentiment. The dragging riffs are getting heavier and heavier, and the way the guitar and bass are entangled like a rough rope is even violent. The set list has been fixed for a long time (except for the first six performances of the tour), but it has been fine-tuned. "Hand Of Doom" has been cut and the total number of songs has been shaped up to 13. It is not clear whether there is a commitment to "13", but the concentrated feeling is even more intense. It is not clear whether the final performance will be held in February 2017, but this may be the "final form of BLACK SABBATH". The film closes with Ozzy's voice repeating "Thank you, good night" and "God bless you all" more than ever. This is a representative work of the just-ended "North America #3 & South America", and a heavy live album that foreshadows the "end of the end". The next show is January 17, 2017 (Germany), the new year. After that, they will run all the way to their final hometown performance in Birmingham on February 4th. This is a heavy live album just before that. There are only a few more minutes until the final nine count begins. For now, just savor "this moment" with this work.
