The "Original Trio + Tony Martin" lineup has only been realized for four performances in SABBATH history. The definitive edition that summarizes the multi-camera pro shots of the extremely rare live is reissued! The "Original Trio" is Tony Iommi, Geezer Butler, and Bill Ward. It is a lineup that was realized by Bill participating in the “South American version of MONSTERS OF ROCK” that was added as the final leg of “CROSS PURPOSES TOUR 1994” by Iommi, Martin & Geezer. First of all, let’s take a look at the position of this work from the entire “CROSS PURPOSES TOUR 1994”. ・February 8-March 13, 1994: North American leg (25 performances)《Approximately one week later》・March 21-27, 1994: Japan performance (5 performances)《Approximately two weeks later》・1994 April 11th - June 11th, 1994: European leg (35 performances) (approximately two and a half months later) August 27th - September 4th, 1994: South American leg (4 performances) ←★Here★ Like this , the main part of “CROSS PURPOSES TOUR 1994” ended in June, at which point Bobby Rondinelli left. After that, Iommi received an offer to appear on the "South American version of MONSTERS OF ROCK" and approached his old friend Bill. The “South American version of MONSTERS OF ROCK” will also be broadcast on local television. Three of the four performances are left in professional shots, and this work is the best master of them all. Now, let's introduce each performance one by one. [Disc 1: Brazil performance on August 27th] First up is the Brazilian performance on the first day of the South American leg. As mentioned earlier, this pro shot is based on the TV broadcast at the time, but this day it is characterized by the song order that is very different from the actual live performance and Jeff Nichols' keyboard that was heavily mixed. The live performance in 1994 that Bill participated in is already priceless, but Bill also played Ozzy era classics such as "Black Sabbath" and "War Pigs", as well as songs from "HEAVEN AND HELL" such as "Children Of The Sea". In addition, he is clearly seen trying out songs by Vinnie Appice and Cozy Powell, such as ``Time Machine'' and ``Headless Cross.'' After a long hiatus (even though he's been rehearsing), Bill struggles with songs in a style different from his own, and this video is an important document that includes this. Although it is quite different from the sharp and tight performance of Koji and others, the encore songs "Iron Man" and "Sabbath Bloody Sabbath" exude a unique mood and groove that makes you say, "As expected of an original member." The last part also includes interview scenes with the members. You can watch live highlights and valuable interviews for about 60 minutes. [Disc 2: Santiago performance on September 1st] Disc 2 is the second performance in South America, Chile. Here again, a new master discovered overseas in recent years is used and recorded with a quality that far exceeds the VTR master known in Japan. Fans said that the footage from this day was ``long, but the visuals weren't good,'' but in this work, you can enjoy 91 minutes of footage that overturns that stereotype. The best part is that it includes the full set from "Supertzar" to "Sabbath Bloody Sabbath"! The official video “CROSS PURPOSES LIVE” was also released from the main part of the tour when Bobby Rondinelli was enrolled, but “Children Of The Sea” was missing. In other words, this work is not only the full-length version of the valuable “Original Trio + Martin” but also the only complete video of “CROSS PURPOSES TOUR 1994”. “Time Machine” and “Headless Cross” were also seen at the Sao Paulo performance on Disc 1, but the “CROSS PURPOSES” numbers of “I Witness” and “Cross Of Thorns” from the South American tour can only be seen here. Bill also seems to have regained his composure after the first day, and his play is becoming more stable. After “Symptom Of The Universe”, the drum solo by Bill is firmly recorded, and it is the most important video in this work. [Disc 3: September 3rd performance in Buenos Aires] The last performance is in Argentina on the third day in South America. Again, the encore part is not recorded, but the main part of the set is completely recorded and the sound is superb. On this day, there is also an FM album “BLACK AIRES (LANGLEY DELUXE 019)” that is different from the TV, but the quality approaches that masterpiece stereo sound board. The image quality due to the tremendous master freshness is also excellent, with a screen that hardly feels degraded, color development and contours that do not bother you about blurring or blurring, etc... It is one that stands out among the three performances. In this Argentine performance, the set list was changed significantly from the previous two days, and the number before "HEAVEN AND HELL" (in other words, Bill era) became the focus, and Bill's play improved clearly as well. In particular, he shows his presence in songs from the Ozzy era, such as the unique languid grooves he creates in "Into The Void" and "The Wizard," and the eerie mood in "Black Sabbath." Iommi's heavy riff and Geezer's strong bassline are utilized in the performance of "War Pigs", which is a must-see. Furthermore, you cannot miss “Neon Knights” and “Symptom Of The Universe”, which contrast the staging of these two. Martin also seems to have an easy time singing songs from his Ozzy era, and in addition to his skillful singing, he sings many of these famous songs by making use of the charm of the midrange to bass that started to become noticeable from this period. The soundboard album “BLACK AIRES” also includes encores “Iron Man” and “Sabbath Bloody Sabbath”, but unfortunately the program ends with “Paranoid”. This work, which is a compilation of all the footage from the 1994 South American tour, is a definitive work that has never been seen before. A 3-disc set that is 208 minutes long and allows you to fully enjoy the extremely valuable "Original Trio + Martin". Rarity, quality, entertainment...a work that has all of these at a high level.
