The band concluded their 1980 tour with their first performance in Japan in November, followed by an Oceania tour, and then held their second UK tour of the ``HEAVEN AND HELL'' tour from January to February 1981. This tour, which became a de facto "triumphal return performance," was more successful than the previous year in various locations. In particular, their live show at London's Hammersmith Odeon, which was held for four consecutive days from January 18th to 21st, was sold out. It became a famous scene that can be said to be one of the highlights of the band's career. This work is a recording of the performance on January 19th, the second day, with very valuable audience shots at the time. Although there are many excellent sound sources, this work is a must-have for fans on the “HEAVEN AND HELL” tour, where videos are very limited! This video is shot from the upper right corner of the stage, a little above the second floor seats. Although there are no close-ups because the footage was taken with a handheld camera from the time, it does capture the lively performance of the band. It was shot over 30 years ago, so there are some parts missing, and it's not as clear as digital materials in recent years, but considering the times, it's a stable audience video that you couldn't ask for any more. Ronnie performs magnificently in the center of the stage, sometimes moving violently and sometimes wandering around the stage suspiciously, as if he were casting a spell over the audience. Geezer Butler's performance, dressed in the white stage costume unique to that time, is also a must-see. In "Neon Knights" and "N.I.B.", he plays out unique bass lines with a unique action that scratches your body. In contrast to the explosive Ronnie and Geezer, Tony Iommi is skilled on stage and silently spins heavy riffs. However, as seen in "Children Of The Sea" and "Heaven And Hell", his appearance silently gives off a unique presence on stage. Vinnie Appice, who joined midway through the tour, also showed off his impressive drumming throughout, adding groove and speed to the band's performance with his drum solos on "Sweet Leaf" and "Die Young." It is true that the impression of the band is changing from when they were in the original SABBATH and Bill. However, there is no doubt that this work is a reliable record that captures the entire stage that fans are aware of when they hear Ronnie SABBATH! The official video of the show at this time is ``BLACK AND BLUE'', which is a coupling recording of the joint tour with BLUE OYSTER CULT. However, there were not many songs recorded, the order of the songs was different, and there were problems with the performance, so it could not be said that the content was completely satisfactory as a standalone live performance. Although it was shot by the audience, this work, which contains the entire show from the opening to the end, can be said to be a historically very important document. Not only BLACK SABBATH fans, but also those who love Ronnie James Dio, should not miss this valuable video. Please enjoy this piece, which visually supports the live recordings of the same era, along with "FACE OF EVIL"! This is the definitive same-day video with an original menu!
