Although he has been appearing on TV recently, it has been a long time since he released a tour-themed title. This time, we will be presenting audio and video from the 1965 European tour, which took in Italy and Spain, including Milan, Rome, Madrid, and Barcelona. First, regarding the sound source. The main thing is the first show of the Rome performance on June 27, 1965, and the sound source that is said to be the afternoon part is recorded. The set list is slightly different from the American performance that will be held immediately after this, and the version where "I'm A Loser" is played on stage is especially rare. Speaking of Italian performances, only this Rome performance remains, and there is only one type of sound source. Unfortunately, the one that was considered to have the best sound quality was the one used for the analog version, and all previously released CDs were sourced from this analog version. As a result, not only do you hear needle sounds, but you also hear the trace noise that is typical of analog discs, and even 30 years into the CD era, there is still nothing better than that. As those who have many previously released records know, the sound quality of the Rome performance is not good compared to other remaining live sound sources. The original source for this work is basically the same. However, if you listen to this work without any preconceptions, you will be surprised at how good the sound was in the Rome performance. When several enthusiasts actually tried it out, they all expressed surprise at the dramatic improvement in sound quality. First of all, there is no noise at all. This is not a level that can be disguised with noise reduction or equalization, it is truly non-existent. If such artificial processing were applied, some sound components would physically be lost, but this work is free of noise and was recorded at the time. It was recorded with a high-quality sound, and it is recorded with a high level of freshness. If you look only at the track list, it may not be as fresh as the previous releases, but once you listen to it, there is such a difference in sound quality that you will never go back to the previous releases. I would like long-time fans with discerning ears to give this a listen. In addition, there is no pitch instability that is typical of old analog equipment, and the pitch is precisely adjusted after digital conversion, allowing the Beatles to convey the charm of their energetic 1965 performance. Clearing various factors such as sound quality, presence of noise, pitch, etc., it can be said that this work has the best sound quality in the Rome performance, without comparing it with the previously released version. As a bonus track, the sound board sound source of the Rome performance is also recorded from the second show night part, covering all existing sound sources from this tour. In terms of content, there is no pure first appearance sound source, but the degree of quality improvement will be surprising to those who are used to listening to the same performance. Next, regarding the videos, there are two discs, the first contains videos related to Italy, and the second contains videos related to Spain. Disc 1 includes the Italian tour. The Milan performance on June 24th will feature a stadium concert recorded in vivid color. There are many photographs of the Milan performance, but this beautiful color video from 1965, which shows not only the Beatles, but also the venue and the audience, is extremely valuable. Although the image quality of the Genoa performance is not good, it is also recorded in valuable color video. This is a video of a concert at an indoor venue with a similar atmosphere to Budokan. The footage from the Rome performance, which includes the sound source in the main story, is full of valuable footage, including scenes from outside the venue, the members appearing on stage, tuning, and, of course, the performance scenes, all in black and white. . John standing on stage wearing a hat is very cool. In addition, it includes a program reminiscing about the tour that was broadcast in Italy, and documentary footage of the Italian tour at the time. Disc 2 includes the Spanish tour. The Madrid performance on July 2nd also includes footage of the Beatles' appearance from outside the venue. It's interesting to see John wearing a Spanish-style hat, and multiple cameras are used to clearly record the day. The July 3 concert in Barcelona was held in a large arena-like venue, with the Beatles appearing led by security, shots taken up close as if they were on stage, and the Beatles bathed in lights floating in the darkness. The mysterious brilliance of this is another amazing image. In addition to these stage scenes, it also includes a Spanish TV program reminiscing about the tour at the time, and a program reminiscing about the Spanish tour recorded in the 1990s that coincided with Paul's tour. Finally, he visits Spain and includes a documentary film of him getting off the gangway, his hotel, and the press conference. John Lennon recalls the Beatles' touring days as, ``It was like Fellini's Satyricon.'' Fellini is a film director that Italy is proud of, but when John talks about his tour by comparing it to a movie that captures the live footage of Sake Pond, he must be saying that even when John himself looks back on his tours at this time, they were in an abnormal state.
